Needing extra information about the tournament guidelines
I would like to organize some tournaments with friends and friends of friends, and one of the games I would absolutely love to let the participants compete in, is Apex Legends.
To be sure that everything is completely legal and follows all the guidelines, I have some questions regarding a few guidelines.
I have sent a mail to the address mentioned on the site, but after a conversation with someone from the support team, they told me I have to make a case here.

- In the first point, it states that it is not allowed to use the tournament to create revenue. As you will read in a further point, I do not use entry fee or direct donations for personal gain, it will all go towards a future event. But if I stream this event and people (for example) subscribe on Twitch, does this counts as using Apex Legends to create revenue or is this acceptable because of point 5?
- Also regarding point 1: as to my knowledge, paying a caster is seen as a cost for the tournament, but what are the restrictions about this price? And what if I am (co-)casting a tournament on my own, what are the restrictions. This is not applicable at the moment because of no sponsorships allowing us to pay the casters, but it's something I consider if participants seem to love the events.
- My next question is about point 2. It is not permitted to use EA Artwork, and I find it hard to understand what falls under this. In the first image attached, you can see an image of Seer. If I would change this image by an image found on the official character list, would this be allowed?
- On point "6. Prizing" on the website, I read, "Prize pools must be fixed in advance of the expected tournament start date and may not depend on any participant’s or spectator’s actions or contributions."
but on point "7. Tournament fees". It is stated that an entry fee of $20 is allowed to help offset the cost of the tournament. Does this mean that I can't use the entry fee to fund the prize pool? - Going back to point 6, it is stated that the prize pool may not depend on spectator’s actions or contributions. Does this apply to the running tournament or in general? Because our plan was to stream the tournament online and create a donation link to a PayPal account and use 100% of the donations to increase the next prize pool. Because this PayPal account is only used for the tournaments, we could be very transparent with these transactions.
- The second image attached is a template which I would base the invites on. I tried to follow the restrictions by not using EA trademarks etc. and including the mandatory disclaimer, but it is possible I missed something and I want to make sure everything is within the guidelines.
I really appreciate you taking the time to help me get everything according to the guidelines.
My apologies for any grammatical mistakes, I tried to make everything as clear as possible.
Thank you in advance
