Les détenteurs de l'édition physique standard de Battlefield 2042 sur PS5 ne peuvent pas jouer à la version PS4 du jeu (pack Cross-Gen). Seul l'édition standard PS5 dématérialisé en bénéficie comme l'indique cet article.
Concernant les autres éditions, les éditions Gold et Ultimate en bénéficient également.

OK, so the OP bought the standard edition from a supermarket for the Ps5. Wondering why he can't play with his ps4 friends.
I'm not sure if you can upgrade to the gold but that's the edition he needs.
