5.1 audio speaker layout

I haven't heard about surround sound speaker placement being different for games and movies. I imagine most sound designers mix to Dolby specifications since it's the most widely used surround sound.

Battlefield 1 and Star Wars Battlefront both support Dolby Atmos on PC. I believe a HDMI cable needs to be plugged into a Dolby Atmos receiver for it to work.

If you read anything about speaker placement for games and movies being different please post a link because I enjoy learning about audio technology.

i was talking about the entire battlefield series. this post was mostly for campaign gameplay, for cinematic sound.

Bro, I hate to break it to you, but 90% of the kids playing this game are listening to music or their mom and have no game audio whatsoever.    Also, you should use headphones, not surround speakers.
