Has been banned for more than 3 years now
I've been through the same thing many players have experienced. I was playing BF2042 and I loves this game and suddenly the game crashed. It's not a problem because I just have to restart the game, but it's rare. I got to the splash screen and got a message that I couldn't connect to the servers. I'll wait until the next day because it must be a bug. I read about my situation and I can't even log in with my account because it's permanently banned! What have I done to make this happen, I simply still do not know. I only play on console and I have never experienced this anywhere else or in other games. The problem that I have had to live with for 3-4 years now. My Xbox account is linked to the banned account. So no matter how many new accounts I create, my Xbox is linked to the banned account. This means that I can never, ever play EA games. Okay, I can create a brand new Xbox account, but then I have to say goodbye to 23 years of gaming history. No, that's not going to happen. I've tried to send in my case a few times, but my cases are not being processed or I'm told how to connect an account. Now it's 3-4 years later can anyone help me? Please don't delete this, I need help, because want to play BF6MrZenDK56 minutes agoSeasoned Newcomer52Views0likes3CommentsBF2042 running CPU at 100%
Hey all idk if this is notmal or not. Usually my 5800x3d runs the game at 40% cpu load. Recently past two days or so I noticed it’s been at 100%. I run the game at 4k high settings on my 4070 ti super. Is there a fix for this? I tried to create a “User.cfg” file and add the amount of cores and threads my cpu has, but the EA app says I don’t have permission to save to location. Despite having admin access and everything checked in the security portion of the game properties folder. Any help is much appreciated. Like I said idk if this is normal but up until recently my cpu ran at 40% while I played.7Views1like0CommentsAMD 25.6.1 still crashes BF2042 — the driver was updated, but nothing changed
I haven’t been able to play BF2042 at all with AMD driver version 25.5.1. Yesterday, I updated to the new 25.6.1 hoping it would fix the issue… but it didn’t. Less than 3 minutes into a match, the game crashes to desktop with no error message. Unfortunately, there still seems to be no solution so far — the only workaround is rolling back to driver version 25.4.1. My GPU is a 6700 XT, and my CPU is a Ryzen 7 5800X3DSolvedyt-alemitofps4 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer3KViews6likes16CommentsDirect X crashing
Any idea on how I can change the 'End' key binding. It use to just force open the desk top and open an EA website. After the last couple patches it does that and crashes the Direct X stuff. Some dev error. When you folks broke the friends list thing a few patches ago and then fixed it, every few minuets my mouse just freezes 3 or 4 times in a row. The game is still moving but the mouse just stops working. Thanks for any info4Views0likes0Comments[INFO] BF2042 Patch 8.8 (May 27) – Secure Boot Requirement for Supported Systems
With Update 8.8.0 on Battlefield 2042, we will require that Secure Boot be enabled for PC hardware that can support it. This will provide you with a higher standard of trust and safety while you play select EA titles. As cheat developers keep evolving their tactics, we're stepping up our game, too. To keep Battlefield 2042 fair and fun for everyone, we're strengthening our defences, especially against cheats that try to sneak in during the Windows boot process. This move supports our Positive Play commitment and helps ensure a level playing field for all players. If you attempt to load the game following Update 8.8.0 without Secure Boot enabled, but are on a piece of hardware that supports it, you will be prompted with a message stating that Secure Boot is required. Secure Boot is a feature available for Windows 11 and Windows 10 devices, and you can learn more about how to enable this functionality via our EA Help article here. (‼️At Your Own Risk‼️) How to Reset Secure Boot if Battlefield 2042 Does Not Recognise It Before you proceed, consult your motherboard manual for precise steps. BIOS/UEFI menus vary by manufacturer. EA is not responsible for any damage or loss of data. ‼️This is at your own risk.‼️ Incorrect changes to BIOS/UEFI can render your system unbootable. Verify that Secure Boot, not just UEFI boot, is required. Ensure your system boots properly with CSM (Compatibility Support Module) disabled. ‼️Consult your motherboard manual‼️ for precise steps. BIOS/UEFI menus vary by manufacturer. EA is not responsible for any damage or loss of data. Steps to Reset Secure Boot Enter BIOS/UEFI Settings Restart your PC and press the designated key (usually DEL, F2, ESC) to enter BIOS/UEFI. Locate Secure Boot Settings Navigate to the Security or Boot tab. Assess the Current Secure Boot State If the Mode is User, you can usually enable Secure Boot directly. If the Mode is Setup, follow these steps: Disable Secure Boot (if it says Enabled). If it shows Standard, switch to Custom. Then switch back from Custom to Standard, and accept factory defaults. Enable Secure Boot. Optional: Reset Secure Boot Keys In some BIOS/UEFI versions, you can select Reset/Delete Secure Boot Keys under the Secure Boot settings. Save and Exit BIOS/UEFI Save your changes and restart your computer. Verify Secure Boot Status in Windows Press Windows + R, type msinfo32, and press Enter. In System Information, check the Secure Boot State field. If it says On, Secure Boot is enabled and recognised by Windows. If it says Off, revisit the BIOS to adjust settings. If it says Unsupported, your hardware may not support Secure Boot. Restart and Launch Battlefield 2042 Launch the game to check if Secure Boot is now recognised. I have never used any type of software and suddenly after recent update this started to happen. I have seen many users having this issues lately. Only software running is NVIDIA control panel, MSI after burner and Logitech G-hub ?!! I have a problem across all recent BF games BF 1 , BF V and BF 2042. I still have to try some of the things, will see what happens, but this is concerning. It truly is ! Ensure AutoHotkey or Similar Programs are Not Running Check Background Processes: Sometimes, AutoHotkey scripts or similar software may still be running in the background even if you don't actively use them. You can check Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to make sure there are no scripts or programs running that might be triggering the anti-cheat. Close Background Software: If you're using any programs for custom keybinds, overlays, or macros (like Razer Synapse, Logitech G Hub, etc.), try disabling them temporarily and relaunch the game. Verify Game Files Corrupted Files: EAC might flag certain files if there are corrupted or missing files. You can try verifying the integrity of your game files via Steam (or the respective game launcher). Right-click on the game in your library > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files. Check for Other Software Interference Security Software: Anti-virus software or firewall settings can sometimes cause interference with anti-cheat software, thinking it's an intrusion. Try temporarily disabling or adding exceptions to your firewall/antivirus to see if it’s causing the issue. Overlay Software: Disable any third-party overlay software (like Discord, Nvidia GeForce Experience, Steam’s overlay, etc.) to see if that resolves the issue. Run Game as Administrator Admin Privileges: Sometimes, anti-cheat issues can arise from permissions. Try running the game and/or the EA app as an administrator (right-click the executable > Run as Administrator). Reinstall EA AntiCheat Reinstall EAC: If none of the above works, you can try reinstalling the EA AntiCheat. Go to the Battlefield directory, find the "EA AntiCheat" folder, and reinstall it. If you're using the EA app, you can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Check for Conflicting Keybinds Keybind Conflicts: Even if you're not using AutoHotkey, certain keybinds or macros (even if manually configured in software like Razer Synapse) can sometimes be flagged as "suspicious." Try resetting your keybinds or clearing any macros to see if that helps.FarystarLovesBF116 hours agoNew Veteran2.3KViews4likes18Commentsea anticheat has detected an unacceptable configuration 115 (bf2024)
I had already lost all hope that I would be able to repair it. First, I bought BF2042, played it for a few months, woke up one day and couldn't play because I got this error, even though I didn't change or touch anything, I just went to sleep and the next day I couldn't even launch this “wonderful” game. I thought, okay, I wrote a bad review and forgot about it. Now BF6 is coming out, and I thought that two years after this happened to me, I would finally be able to run this game, but I got this error again, which cannot be fixed in any way. I wrote this just so that people who also have this problem would understand that they are not alone. I really want to play, but I can't because of the stupid reasons for this bad anti-cheat. For some reason, throughout my entire life, I've never had any other problems with any of the games I've played, but somehow this anti-cheat managed to ruin my mood and waste a ton of time. I want to say right away that I have never used third-party programs that give an advantage in the game over other players. I condemn that. If you have a REAL SOLUTION to this problem, please write it down. I've tried everything possible except reinstalling Windows, but I'm not going to do that just to play this game, which doesn't work properly because the developers couldn't make the anti-cheat work correctly.lDen9l20 hours agoNewcomer31Views0likes0CommentsUnable to add or send EA friend requests on BF2042

On Steam, since yesterdays install and setup of BF6 Open Beta, BF2042 crashes at the title screen before entering main menu whenever the loading crosshair indicator appears at the center of the screen. Crash happens when the title screen stays at a smaller windowed screen as well as whenever it goes to full screen automatically. I tried to verify gamefiles, repaired EAAntiCheat, deleted BF2042 settings, deleted various caches and temp files, re-downloaded and re-installed BF2042 on Steam, tried to run it through EA App ... but nothing. Same crash happens on title screen shown below. BF2042 creates a 3 MB encrypted crashdump each time, which I wont share here on public. BF6 Open Beta Client on Steam still runs without any issues. Dear EA Support, I would like to report a critical compatibility issue between Battlefield 2042 and the latest AMD Adrenaline drivers (version 25.5.1). and it seems many players have the same problem. After updating to this driver version, the game consistently crashes during mid-game death scenes, making it unplayable. The only current workaround is to roll back to an older driver version, which is not ideal for users who require the latest updates for other applications or titles. I kindly request that the development team investigate this matter and release an update or patch to ensure Battlefield 2042 runs properly with the latest AMD drivers. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
