In-Game Chat Bug – Sometimes Can’t Type
There’s a serious bug with the in-game chat in Battlefield 2042. Sometimes it just stops working and I can’t type anything at all. This really hurts the gameplay experience, especially when trying to coordinate with teammates.Many players have encountered the same bug as me, and verifying game integrity on Steam doesn’t fix it. EA, please fix this issue as soon as possible. Communication is a core part of the game, and right now it’s broken.

I am receiving 1:860015:89001S:9C:-13561655840 on my son profile on the Xbox s console. I see that this is ongoing for months and many people found creating a new account and signing in with that one seems to resolve the issue. My problem is that his account was set to a child account through the Xbox. I am unable to log in via the Xbox or a different device or browser. Support will not allow me to log in anywhere but the console. I am unable to unlink the account from the game. I also am unable to complete the linking process to manage his account FROM my parent account for this same reason. A cycle of support agents told me I should be able to log in via bf6 or the ea app. I can’t purchase the ea app because his account is a child account. I can’t purchase it for him because I am unable to complete the linking process. Will someone please for the love of god help me. I need a way to create a new account and for him to be able to play on an xbox s. I do not care about saved game data loss, (he has none). I don’t understand how to do this. Please treate me like a veteran with PTSD and little tech experience.
Infinite Loop on Startup & Trouble Adding Cross-Platform Friend
Hello everyone, I'm facing two major issues in Battlefield 2042 that are making it difficult to play. I'd like to know if anyone else has experienced this and if there’s a solution. Infinite Loop on Startup Every time I launch the game, it gets stuck in an infinite loop with a black screen and a space scene, usually with a satellite. The game never fully loads, and I have to restart it multiple times until it finally works properly. Trouble Adding a Cross-Platform Friend I play on Steam, and my friend plays on PlayStation. Despite searching for his nickname in the game and trying to add him through EA, I can't find him in my friends list. I've already checked the privacy settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I consistently receive the following error code about five minutes into gameplay: 1:4688822970: -4685921B. I'm running a dual-boot system with Windows 10 (22H2) and Ubuntu. I've already tried switching DNS servers, reinstalling the anticheat software, reinstalling the game, enabled secure boot, and disabling background applications, but the issue persists. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I can't launch the game battlefield 2042. I click launch in both the app and the desktop, the EA app disappears and the game loading image is displayed for 15 seconds, then the image disappears and the app reappears. I tried restarting the computer, repairing the game through the app, repairing the app itself. I deleted the app and the game, deleted all their files from the computer and reinstalled everything. I reinstalled the anti-cheat and nothing helps, the game won't open. (Other games I tried to install like BATTLEFIELD 1 and 5 did work. After consulting with the technical advice in chat, I also did the following: Clear EA App Cache Close the EA App completely. Navigate to: C:\Users<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop Delete the AppCache folder. Restart the EA App and try launching again. Run EA App and Game as Administrator Right-click EA App → Run as Administrator. Do the same for BF2042.exe in the game folder. Disable Overlays Turn off EA App Overlay, Steam Overlay, Discord Overlay, and any GPU overlays (NVIDIA/AMD). These can interfere with the game launch. Check Anti-Cheat Integrity Go to: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA AntiCheat Run EAAntiCheatInstaller.exe → Repair for Battlefield 2042. Update or Reinstall Visual C++ Redistributables Download the latest x64 and x86 Visual C++ packages from Microsoft. Install or repair them. Force DirectX 11 Mode Battlefield 2042 defaults to DX12, which can cause crashes on some systems. Add a launch argument: -dx11 In EA App → Game Properties → Advanced Launch Options → Paste the above. Check GPU Drivers & Windows Updates Update to the latest GPU driver (NVIDIA/AMD). Ensure Windows is fully updated. Disable Fullscreen Optimizations Right-click BF2042.exe → Properties → Compatibility → Check Disable Fullscreen Optimizations. And nothing works. I would appreciate your helpBot and technical issues
I notice tanks will appear in random spots when one was not there then it kills me. I never had the opportunity to see it. Sometimes when you destroy one tank another appear behind it. The tanks should arrive in the distance or at some other point not appearing before me on the consistent basis. When you shoot a bot, all of a sudden a bot appears next to you in a blind spot and kills you. You do not have a chance of seeing these bots. We need the opportunity to see the bots approaching. The snipers have a great advantage on this game. I have not made it far in the game yet but it would be nice to send a helicopter strike (multiple bombs) at the sniper I would like to see a neck snap / choke hold instead of stabbing a guy for dog chains.CAN'T SHOOT WHILE ADS, AIM SIGHT SPACING OUT WHEN TRYING TO SHOOT IN ADS.
i thought it was my mouse , but tried different fps games it was working fine, i don't know what happens. I can't shoot while in ADS but can Shoot when not in ADS, and notice a little bit spacing out glitch when trying to shoo in ADS. tried this troubleshoots but none of these works on me. -remapping key bindings -restarting device -deleting profile settings in documents -uninstalling / reinstalling anticheat -reinstalling the whole freaking game. bought the game in steam tried also -verifying game files. need help on this one. I've had this issue starting with Battlefield 2042 and it seems to be happening in 6 now as well. Every 30 seconds or so for about 2-3 seconds, my screen will freeze / stutter and the audio will tear as well. With 2042, I assumed it was just an issue with the game itself or the EA launcher but with 6 on Steam I'm at a loss. I've tried everything I can think of and nothing seems to alleviate the issue. PC Specs: CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X GPU: RTX 3070ti RAM: 32 GBs 3200 MT/s OS: Windows 11 I have friends running the game on less powerful hardware and I seem to be the only one with any issues. I've tried a few suggestions found on this forum but nothing has worked so far. has anyone else ever had this issue with either game? hello I want to report about a problem I'm having with battlefield 2042 the game is great I love every single detail of it but every time I launch the game every 2 to 3 minutes the game freeze my entire PC even if I am in the lobby, I tried everything clean the cash verifying the game files you name it but nothing worked if you have any advice or solution for this problem please help
