New bugs in 2026
After renewing my EA Play subscription, I returned to Battlefield 2042, but since then, I haven't been able to enter a single 2042 session. Every time I try, my network card crashes. I've tried updating my network card driver, motherboard BIOS, clearing the cache, updating and fixing anti-cheat measures, updating my NVIDIA graphics card driver, and using my phone's hotspot, but without exception, I get the same error message. I'm starting to believe that DICE is trying to drive players to Battlefield 6, but this will only drive players away. My IP address is in the US, so I'm sure it's not a VPN issue.
game chat error after each sent message, not sent
last month everything i sent in ea app chat was censored for no reason and went thru hell to actually get a live chat with ea suppport which over a week with a few "techs" was pointless. eventually ea app chat went to normal, cool. THEN theres today. everything was fine, played a few games, sent a few in game chat messages to party members then after restarting the game after a few graphics settings i sometimes change depending on the fps i am getting, i try and send an in game chat to party and i get an immediate error message plus no response from party. try again, error message with a bunch of numbers ill never get before the message disappears. same ever since. google said the error is a longstanding known issue tho ive never had it and when i search EA forums with usable keywords nothing comes up. at this point aside from some questionable gameplay decisions by the devs, its clear the lack of support or ability to address errors is a major catalyst to gamers lack of enthusiasm towards anything ea puts out these days.IT professionals in trouble
I can’t get the game to work at all. It wouldn’t even launch 10 months ago. For the past six months, every time I try to start it, a grey login box pops up asking for my EA account email or password. The problem is that the window isn’t fully visible for some reason, so I can’t even see all the fields. It just says “email or…” and cuts off, so I have no idea what else I’m supposed to enter. After typing my email and pressing Tab, it seems to move to another field where I can enter my password. But even after that, it claims there’s no internet connection, even though my computer is clearly connected and working fine. I’ve run both EA and Steam as administrator. I’ve reinstalled the game, Steam, EA, everything. Nothing works. The same issue just keeps repeating over and over. So here’s my question: do EA and Steam actually have any idea what they’re doing? Do you even want me as a customer, or are you just fine leaving me stuck like this? What is going on? Looking for some help problem solving an intermittent error I'm getting 0:85008S:468882297O:0Q I'll be mid game and I will suddenly disconnect from the server and then reconnect but booted from the game about 15/20 seconds later. Sometimes it causes discord to go out, sometimes it does not. My internet connect monitor records no loss of internet connection and as noted sometimes I can keep a perfect discord connection. Other times I can quickly tab out and load up a youtube video or other webpage no problem so I don't think its my internet connection. Some days it doesn't happen at all. Often its just once a session. Today it happened like 4 times in 2 hours. No other impact on play. So far I have tried restarting my computer when it happens but that does not always solve the problem like today. My nvidia drivers are up to date and have a relatively new PC with a i7 14700k and an RTX 4060Ti. Any help troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated. After I post this I will likely start a reinstall.
Portal or Servers Broken and Chat is Broken, Wi-Fi Driver Issue

Player count not updating on portal The player count appears to be stuck and does not change I first noticed this yesterday and again today; the numbers have remained exactly the same on both days 2. Can't Choose Maps? On the official matchmaking options, there is no way to choose specific maps Please add a map selection option, and provide better visibility of available servers so players can choose where to play, including for Quick Play Additionally, the matchmaking queue often takes a very long time while waiting for a game to start on this only 1 option, so the alternative solution is to look on portal servers 3. In‑game chat not working or broken The in‑game chat is not appearing, I cannot see other players’ messages? I initially thought this was a settings issue on my side, but after checking my settings and testing, the problem persists, last 2025 mid - year -> I have no issues on this, so I was wondering why it is not showing and I thought it was a new feature or something, but it seems to be broken I tested Battlefield 6 on the same system, and chat works there normally. This issue seems specific to Battlefield 2042 on Steam 4. Game crashes WiFi turned off
Last few days like everyone else portal empty or errors and can't open a game. However...even worse is when I can open a game, after 20-30s the game crashes, no conection to EA servers and my wifi is turned off. Can't restart my Pc (W11) or shutdown so have to press the Pc case reset button to reboot. B4 not affected.
BF2042 Portal - Totally broken.. no Portal "game session is not available"
BF2042 - Totally broken today.. no Portal, solo, anything... "game session is not available" or "role not allowed" that.. can't join an existing server - get the error - also looks like player count is stuck where it was.. cant start a new game, get error server unavailable and no AI joins, i just walk around alone. So, its your servers. Friday evening, just perfect.
No Servers Showing In Server Browser List
Hello All Today 20 February 2026, I noticed after starting BF2042 and going to the "PORTAL" too browse servers. To my horror, there's absolutely no servers showing on the list ! I clicked on each tab that's at the top of the screen, meaning "ALL" "CONQUEST" "RUSH" "CUSTOM" AND "FOLLOWED" and no servers are showing in any of these tabs. I attached a pic of what I am talking about. Not sure if anyone else has this issue. The other game modes are working for me though. Btw I'm from South Africa.
Game Crash Issue with AMD Adrenaline 25.5.1 Drivers on Battlefield 2042
Dear EA Support, I would like to report a critical compatibility issue between Battlefield 2042 and the latest AMD Adrenaline drivers (version 25.5.1). and it seems many players have the same problem. After updating to this driver version, the game consistently crashes during mid-game death scenes, making it unplayable. The only current workaround is to roll back to an older driver version, which is not ideal for users who require the latest updates for other applications or titles. I kindly request that the development team investigate this matter and release an update or patch to ensure Battlefield 2042 runs properly with the latest AMD drivers. After the recent season update, tank aiming in 1st-person view feels significantly slower and unresponsive compared to previous versions. The turret rotation speed now appears directly tied to internal turret speed limitations rather than scaling properly with mouse sensitivity settings. Increasing Vehicle Mouse Aim Sensitivity improves responsiveness in 1st-person, but it makes 3rd-person camera control excessively fast and difficult to manage. There is currently no proper separation between 1st-person turret sensitivity and 3rd-person vehicle camera sensitivity. 1st-person tank aim should scale consistently with Vehicle Zoom Sensitivity without negatively affecting 3rd-person camera movement. Sensitivity behavior should match pre-season update responsiveness. Multiple PC players are experiencing similar behavior after the update. It appears to be either a sensitivity scaling bug or unintended turret speed restriction in 1st-person view.

I don't understand there is some experiences created I'm just created that I try to to log on to to play but it's says the game session is not available. Is do any of you guys have the same problem. If you do please let me know or if you know an solution
