Battlefield 2042 Crashes / Blue Screens
I have been having an issue recently where Battlefield 2042 will crash and blue screen my PC whenever I play Battlefield Portal I can play the other modes just fine and they seem to work flawlessly but when I try to play Battlefield Portal, I will join the match and I will be able to play for a few minutes then it blue screens, this has happened several times on Portal only from what I have gathered so far It happens every single time I play Portal, every instance of a Portal match I have played has led to a blue screen Looking in Event Viewer I find the following from the time the Blue Screen occurred: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000003b (0x00000000c0000005, 0xfffff806815cbf0b, 0xfffff88c78ee6410, 0x0000000000000000). Looking online it seems to be a driver issue but I have uninstalled my old drivers, reinstalled my new drivers, done DDU and such, I have also seen others having issues with Battlefield 2042 too, some reports have said they have had crashes / blue screens like me and this is on a wide variety of specs too I have tested other games and they work flawlessly without any problems, Battlefield 4, Battlefield 1, etc This issue only happens to me in Battlefield 2042 My specs are: GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU CPU: Intel Core i5-11400H RAM: 16GB DDR4 OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows 11 24H2 (Build 26100.3194)43Views1like2CommentsStuck in Windowed Mode
Loaded back up from a long break, now I'm locked into a window. I've tried the ole Alt+Enter frostbite fix but nothing. I also deleted my profile under my documents folder... nothing. The only thing I did recently was update my Radeon driver cause BF2042 prompted me too. Any ideas?Morrdak3 hours agoNew Rookie32Views0likes5CommentsBattlefield 2042 DirectX Error
Hi all. I am unable to play Battlefield 2042 due to DirectX error related with GPU, for few days. Even though I manage to enter the main game screen and join a game, this error shows up after several minutes. I've tried EVERYTHING on the internet related to this problem. The regedit thing, tried almost every available driver for my GPU, the DDU thing, running as administrator or disabling fullscreen optimization, switching between fullscreen or borderless or changing some other settings in game, disabling in-game overlays, killing some background processes or shutting down some programs while game is running, deleting cache, updating BIOS and Windows, enabling/disabling core isolation memory integrity... None of them has worked. It is also a great success that you couldn't fix a problem which people are suffering since 2021, to 2025 @EA. Now please a developer from EA can tell me how I am going to solve this problem permanently? PC specs and screenshot of error are down below. Note that I'm getting 4-5 kind of similar DirectX errors, not the exact same error message with this one everytime. Platform: PC Date/Time Issue Occurred - On any boot of the game, within the last week or two. What Type of issue do I have - Trying to boot the game gives any number of error windows and the game cannot boot. If I can get to the main menu, and attempt to boot the game, the game will still crash and be unable to load any game type. Which Mode has this happened in - All modes, at this point I'm resigned to believe that the game cannot load on my machine (I7, 3070, 16GB DDR4 - have had no issues for my previous 230 hours of playing) Summarize your Bug - The game has been unable to load, I've checked on Discord and Reddit, and it appears I'm not the only one with this issue that has started to occur out of the blue. Many of us have had issues loading the game. How often does the Bug occur - Upon every boot, about a week ago, it would fail out when I was joining games, but after about 5 attempts would put me into a game, now I'm unable to join altogether. Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves - I'd recommend picking up a similar spec'd laptop with a similar amount of playing time. My guess is it's related to the new maps - Battle of the Bulge, and Al Alamein, because I've had no issues with the game until those games were released. Again, I was playing pretty considerably every week, but this issue has only proliferated recently. What happens when the bug occurs - You will get a multitude of issues, about Direct X, about your Graphics Drivers, both of which on my end are up to date, there's nothing specific that speaks to me regarding those issues, but reinstalling did not fix the issue, and only BF2042 has issues on my PC. I've had no issues running other modern games, and downgrading my graphics did not fix the issues. What do you expect to see - I'd hope that BF can look into what specifically changed with the release of new maps as it relates to crashes. I'd imagine you have a decent backlog of other users crashing and their data as it relates to this, I think there was some sort of graphical benchmark check that is faulty and causing users to be unable to boot games that they'd previously had no issues with. Upon speaking with Support, they mentioned 3 similar cases they'd experienced today. It seems this is an internal issue that needs resolving. i have searched this forum and also watched numerous YT videos trying to fix this. I completed a new mobo/ram/cpu and have everything working on new system. CANNOT get 2042 to recognize horizontal mouse input. Only way to move horizontal is to use arrow keys. I have done a complete wipe and re-download, did the file delete for the notepad files, im not sure what else to do. I am having an issue where whenever I input a key like wasd or esc it takes a long time to register and sometimes I have to press many times and hold down for it to work. this issue persists both in game and in the menus. I am also having an issue with mouse input where when I move my mouse, the character wont move, and then several seconds later the view will teleport to the new position. I've tried verifying game files, using a controller (i dont think the game likes accepting controller inputs as it didnt work at all), setting dpi lower and setting the polling rate lower on both keyboard and mouse, lowering graphics settings, changing the controller bindings to custom, deleting the battlefield 2042 documents folder, restarting the pc, updating windows, and making sure drivers were up to date. none of these fixed the issue. it may be worth mentioning the world around me in the game proceeds as if everything is normal. good framerate, everyone around me is moving normally, no network lag. its only with my inputs.23Views0likes1CommentCannot create specific portal server using code
Hi, I have code for helicopter training. Server is not mine. It has been working always, till something breaks it, either updates or i dont know, that same issue was like 1 year ago. Could you please look into and fix the issue? I am positive that it's not server configs fault. -FishMan_iLoveFishing14 hours agoSeasoned Ace81Views0likes10CommentsBf2042 crash to desktop
For unkown reason bf2042 crashes to desktop. Did repair game files, did sfc /scannow. Did chkdsk /f /r Latest windows drivers and MB drivers installed. Latest gpu driver (already did ddu in safemode) Want to know if there is some hardware issue at my system, cause bf2042 is creating crashdumps (included in this post). Any dev/supporter could ya check those crashdumps and tell me what causes those crashes. Maybe some hardware is going to be broken , or some unknown system cfg that cause those issues. Some errors in dxdiag , didnt check / fix them (yet). Hello EA Support and EA Community, I am experiencing an ongoing issue with Battlefield 2042 where, after about 10 minutes of gameplay, I get the error message "Unable to connect to the EA servers" along with the error code "1:4688822970:-4685921B." I have tried all the common troubleshooting steps I could find, but the issue persists. Here are the steps I’ve already taken to try to resolve the problem: Verified and repaired the game files. Reinstalled Battlefield 2042 (both the game and the EA App). Uninstalled, reinstalled, repaired, and updated EA Anti-Cheat. Reset my network adapter and router. Changed my DNS servers to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and Google DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4). Reinstalled Windows and did a fresh install of Battlefield 2042 (I am using the latest version of Windows 11). I was briefly able to connect to "eaanticheat.ac.ea.com" after reinstalling, but the problem came back shortly after. Additionally, I’ve noticed that I cannot maintain a connection to "eaanticheat.ac.ea.com." After a short while, I receive the same error again, even though I haven't noticed any other network issues on my end. It seems like this might be related to the connection to the EA Anti-Cheat server, or possibly an issue with blocking access. Could you please assist me in resolving this problem? I would greatly appreciate any further troubleshooting steps.377Views0likes4Commentspacket loss
