Re: 2042 is not a Battlefield game; This is why BF5 will have more and more players.

I totally agree, this to me does not feel like Battlefield. While we can all agree on that Battlefield 5 was not perfect it at least felt like a proper Battlefield game. And I can enjoy playing it when I feel like playing a Battlefield game. 

But with their new direction and approach to the series DICE has alienated from their roots and their community. Yes, there are some who like those changes, but there is no doubt that a huge majority would rather have their class system back. It belongs to this series and it was something that other franchises do not have. 

I was already disappointed after the beta so I cancelled that preorder right afterwards. I cannot support this franchise any more if they keep on following this design direction. I cannot identify any more. That is very hard for me because I love this franchise and Battlefield games have been the only video games that I played for the last 4-5 years.

They are trying to follow the trends of the market in order to be “innovative”. But neither is following trends blindly innovative nor do innovations make sense if they ruin your customer’s experience. If you have made yourself a name and deliver a specific brand experience you do not have to be that innovative. You just need to give people the brand experience that they fell in love with. I cannot understand how they cannot understand this simple logic.
