2042 restricts the player into an animation its clunky to perform in a gun fight.
4 had an great revive system it made being a medic fun and rewarding. The defibs could be charged while moving making being a medic more efficient also it made for some interesting combat situations where you could use them as a weapon.
I still dont even know how you could revive anyone that wasn't a squad mate.
