does this mean that the rotation is gone and we get to keep the modes (like breakthrough stranded) permanently throughout the season?

I personally think it will be the same as when Exposure launched; a temporary 24/7 playlist for Stranded Conquest and Breakthrough for a few weeks, and after that it goes back into normal rotation. But, this is of course something that can change.
yea, the 24/7 playlist for new map(s) is great, the only thing that bothered me last season is they kept taking it away for breakthrough and giving conquest 3 modes to choose from and one mode for breakthrough. and if you did play breakthrough you got stuck on discarded more often than not (probably because people kept quitting and MM kept trying to fill the game)
