I can say the majority of players will wait and see before buying the next BF game. If there is no server browser, voice chat, proper scoreboard and classes, etc like a BF game suppose to have, but a BR game then this franchise is probably done.
As I have said so many times, it is unbelievable and totally unacceptable that this is happening in a BF title, or in any game for that matter.
As you rightly say all new content, fixes, and game modes etc are pointless if you can't get in to play them. ☹️
MM is simply not working for you and many others in the same position as yourself.
DICE please make it your number one priority to ensure that ALL players have access to BF2042, players being locked out of the game they paid for is just wrong on so many levels.
BF2042 and all future BF titles need a Server Browser / Persistent Servers so why not start now and help reverse the damage that has been done to the BF franchise, it would undoubtedly give this game the boost it needs to attract more players.
@frekwalda1That sucks mate. I know the feeling. Here in Australia it is pretty similar. I can only MM into one conquest mode in AOW and when I do, its half full of AI and the games fizzle out after a couple of rounds with everyone leaving and probably getting fed up of having to play the same maps the whole time. Similar experience in Portal as well with only 2-3 servers worth joining as they have a high enough player count to get in. The ping isn't great most times but I don't seem to notice it too much once I am in there playing.
As Ray, myself and many others have said, MM is not working and it's killing this game and DICE need to sort out a SB ASAP for this game to survive.
On a kind of weird note, I was watching Stodeh's YouTube channel this morning as I was eating my cornflakes and he was playing a new game called Battlebit. In terms of graphics it look's like its come straight from an Atari game console, but the player count has exploaded and in over the last week it's now double what BF2042's playerbase is. Interesting enough, there is a Server Browser in it and people can pick the maps etc they want to play and get a game. The server browser has had a few bug fixes but it is now running with almost no issues apparently. BF2042 should take note of what the competition is doing with a server browser and how it is benefiting their game by just letting people get in and play what they want to play instead of failed MM attempt after failed MM, and look at the fun people are having in Battlebit because of it. DICE need to sort out the SB now as a priority so the BF community can play the game. The MM system is not getting any better, and I would say it is slowly getting worse for me. The time it is taking to go through one MM loop has increased significantly since S2 launch. I don't know what's happened for it to work that way but it's certainly not improved the MM experience one bit. DICE, please please PLEASE bring back to Server Browser!

Sorry to hear MM is actually getting worse for you and it is taking even more time to get into matches.☹️
As you point out It is clearly the major reason the BF2042 player count is so low.
A Server Browser has to be a No.1 priority and needs to happen asap.

We all witness that this MM isn't working, and still DICE keep pushing it down our throats.
No matter where you live, this broken MM system brings so much frustration with it that more people won't bother to start this game.
There is no excuse for neglecting customers who just want to have a proper game, custumers who payed hard earned money for this.
It's an issue from day one and almost a year later, nothing is done about it...again..no excuse. Like Ray, i also feel sad for you guys and i hope that DICE open their eyes and start feeling that too and fix this. Fix this so we can all play the Map/Mode/Region we choose to play.
