Sure OP is citing a Streamer/Youtuber, but Avancys is actually a laser beam. It is an assault rifle with 200 rounds and no recoil with high damage. It most definitely will get nerfed as there is no reason to take any other gun while this thing exist.
I T1ed the Avancys already and have moved on to the AM40, the Avancys is a good weapon but I didn't really think it was OP it's pretty in line with first LMG in that category I thought.
PKP is still hot garbage since the nerf and I sincerely hope they don't drop the nerf-hammer on the Avancys too.
Once people get finished T1ing it I bet you'll see less of them. As amatter of fact I HAVE been seeing fewer here recently as it seems a lot of others have moved on as well.
Killed three enemies at 170m (measured via ping) using the Avancys 6x scope from top the tower on Manifest last night in about 20 seconds. Trick is to feather it for 2-4 shots. Completely OP at the moment and will for sure get nerfed, as no LMG should hit like a sniper at 170 meters.
That said, it is usually some player lasering me with an mid range gun that somehow hits accurately without ANY bullet drop at 150 to 200 meters. I don't even fear snipers anymore as they actually have to deal with bullet drop, yet many of the non-sniper weapons have very little to none...

It is the other LMGs that are quite bad

I personally would like to see video of it "laser beaming" anything. It's very good at close range, but gets out TTK'd by the SMGs, it's good at medium where it should be, but still gets out gunned by the good ARs. It can kill at longer ranges, (I'm talking 75 to 130m) but it certainly isn't beaming anything. You aren't spraying and praying at that range without "HELP"....you can kill out to long ranges in single fire mode, but you aren't doing it easily and certainly not if the enemy is moving a lot. Yeah, if they are standing around you can do it easily.
If you think it's all that and a bag of chips, and OP "lasering" out to 100m, let's see some video.
Only just unlocked it yesterday, so I don't really have an opinion on if it's OP yet, but it seemed pretty decent from the time I've spent with it.
It's not OP for me, it's just a good weapon
Just started using it, I really love it, hell yeah!
So far my impressions is that it is really good at killing bots in solo faster than other guns.
I am not sure how that will translate vs human players.
It is clear that it is at the very least a good gun but due to its LMG sprint delays it is not exactly an absolute MGL weapon like the original BSV-M was.
Before that I had began to see the LMG category as worthless thanks to all the sledgehammer nerfs on the LCMG and especially the PKP
Yes finally a gun that's at least somewhat fun to use.
The problem isn't that Avancys is too good, the problem is that most other BF2042 guns are complete crap.
After more extensive use of the gun vs players, I find the gun fine.
It has super slow ADS strafe speed (unless you are Mackay) and the delay after sprint gives it a fair handicap at short range.
It is just an LMG that is not bad.
If one wants to go METAOMGBBQMLG the humble M5A3 is the go to gun, but somehow nobody talks about it.

Sums it up nicely, it also has a very slow reload time.
I find myself reloading unnecessarily as I have been so used to the AC-42.
Overall I think I still prefer to use the AC-42 but I know it's not comparing like with like.
@RayD_O1Almost everyone dropped the AC-42 like a bad habit after the nerfs. I die to it less than once per day.

Yes it's definitely not as good these days but I still find it ok.

The whole selling point of a bullpup rifle in older BF games was that it had better hipfire, yet the AC-42 has worse base hipfire than the M5A3
Yeah you do have to wonder sometimes.
I used the M5A3 a lot at the start, it's a decent all rounder, I have never tried the SFAR, I should definitely give it a go by the sound of it.👍
@RayD_O1SFAR is sick, the only thing limiting its use to an extent is the underbarrel + exiting vehicle ADS bug which was fixed then re-introduced somehow.
