@Doo-Doo-DrawsYou will not miss on maps when buying the base game.

We don't know if weapons are behind paid battle-passes at this point. In BFV all players got access to all guns and maps - the same goes for Apex legends which is another EA-title with the battle-pass-system.

"Year 1 Pass, and what are 4 Battle Passes", seems like a way to pay up front for battle-passes, almost like paying for premium in the old DLC-system.

For me it seems fine. If you think you will buy the battle-passes anyway, then you could as well buy the gold-edition (or ultimate edition if you so wish). If you are not sure about battle-passes and don't want early access, then just buy the standard edition.

    @cso7777 I really hope weapons ARE NOT BEHIND PAID BATTLE PASS if warsone gives you the new weapons free, there's no reason Battlefield shouldn't either, just saying.

    @HawkeyeAM47 I hope everyone will be on the same level playing field with access to all weapons, gadgets and maps, regardless of what edition we purchase. I'm cool with them offering cosmetic upgrades and such. I like to customize my soldier and look of my weapons as well. We shall see.
