Re: Battlefield 2042 Gold and Ultimate = Premium Edition?

@fnatic-Ainex I don't think classic premium status really exists anymore. Wasn't that tied to the Season Pass?

These editions in essence replace the Season Pass, but like answered above, it's cosmetic. Although it seems like the new Specialists could be tied to the Battle Passes. So while maps are free, new Specialist classes are not. I could be wrong, but that seems to me to be the case. Gold and Ultimate editions will get you access to all new specialist classes.

New maps indeed will be free for everyone.

As for a "status"? They might have something for those who complete the battle pass for a season...some kind of badge or title. Other games do this.

@fnatic-Ainexnp! I miss the days of Premium...*sigh* I get that "live service" is the trend, but they need to do a LOT better than BFV and Battlefront 2. Battlefront 2 eventually got it rolling, but that "eventually" was a very painful near 2 year wait lol.

@ArchAngeL-PCX Exactly, that's why most of the maps were trash in BFV. I'd rather have a separate pass! Quality maps are not free, especially at this scale. I'd rather see a $30-40 pass like in the day including all map packs. If some people are to cheap to pay oh well. I hate the new wokeness off "not separating the playerbase". Good content costs.
