Re: Battlefield 2042 Linux & Steam Deck EAC support

I am unable to play online because EAC does not have Proton enabled.

I have been playing 2042 in Solo/Breakout since I had preorder access without issue.

As of Monday November 15th I can no longer play Solo because it appears Easy AntiCheat is required in a single player/PVE mode for some reason?

Please enable Proton. It is unfair that this change was made to Solo. Enabling Proton for EAC would enable compatibility with the SteamDeck and restore service to those of us who have recently lost access to a single player mode.

  • @EA_Atic It did work. There's three parts to this question:
    1) Why is Easy AntiCheat required for Solo/Coop?

    2) When will Easy AntiCheat stop being required for Solo?

    3) When will Proton support be added to Easy AntiCheat?

With Proton, you actually have very little supporting to do. Epic has taken care of it all with Proton modules for Easy AntiCheat.
