remove dying and quadruple sprint speed then no one will complain.
the latter could actually work. just make it take even longer to use your gun after the quadruple sprint. and maybe put a little stamina meter on it or something.
since we are talking near future. you explain this away by the use of exoskeletons.
then since we have exoskeletons might as well make the players jump a little higher too.
to further help with the cover thing, just do something more with the shields of one of the Specialists.
Otherwise maybe a few extra ridges. or obstacles here and there.
I guess what was missing from the EA feedback was any talk about what you already put into the game that seems obviously put into the game to coutner the complaints some people have.
I mean the whole point of the vehicle call in system is to help navigate long distances. Same with the faster level of sprint. Thus why not work on those things to better answer complaints.
Also seems obviously players aren't supposed to traverse Conquest maps like they are running a Nascar race or paying ring around the rosie. ...which brings up another new feature in Conquest in 2042 - the abstract sector layer that was introduced where now you capture sectors to bleed the other team and not flags. Some sectors have multiple flags for the very reason that the maps are big and large and not conducive to running laps around them. Not sure why you don't mention this while also listening to feedback. It seems me perhaps more work in this area would further help address complaints brought in the map feedback.
Along these lines, perhaps the problem is solved by looking at it from a different angle. Maybe the game should do a better job of educating and informing players to play a part of the battlefield at a time through a bigger easier to read map and clear and concise simple but no simpler info indicating the ever-changing "frontlines" on a map and where enemies are likely to coming from and how well guarded those "front lines" are. The work needed to be done here isn't "sexy" but done right and elegantly it would greater improve the experience and lessen much of the complaints in Conquest.
Whenever I played BF, I was aware of where enemies were likely to be coming from and played those battle lines accordingly while trying to not let enemies get behind me very easily. And I reinforced where we were short on reinforcements.
I think work needs to be done here to facilitate this. ...because much of what players are complaining about derives from them trying to run endlessly from flag to flag and seemingly not understanding how Conquest should be played or is best played.
