Re: Best Premium Keyboard for BF2042 ?

There is no such thing as "Pro keyboard". Use whatever you want/can. Any mechanical board will do just fine.

I use Logitech G915 Lighspeed. One of the best wireless keyboards on the market right now.

The K100 RGB Optical is supposed to be a good keyboard, I tend to use TKL keyboards "Little room" but if you have room go for it.

@Tank_Krusher After having K95 Platinum I would never buy Corsair keyboard again tbh. Armrest was held by 4 tiny fagile plastic clips that broke easily

5 keys had faulty RGB within a year

Girthy and stiff cable and some more minor inconveniences.

Have my Logitech G915 for over a year now. Battery life in insane, RGB is good, mechanical, low profile. No issue whatsoever

    Hi fellows,

Based on my research, so far, I am quickly coming to the conclusion that Optical is better than Mechanical.  Anyone disagree?

This being the case, what would you consider the best Optical keyboard available today for BF2042?

    Thank you,

    CG

    Try one of these.

    Hi @sk1lld

The guy who writes the review states: "The SteelSeries Apex Pro is the best optical keyboard option you can find on the market today."  Then he ranks it as the third best, so this guy just does not make any sense!

The the guy states: "EVGA Z20 is the next best optical keyboard option..." and ranks it fourth!

It is probably just a kid that has never used any of the keyboards or tested them.

And those lists that you find on pretty much any site is there to gather amazon/referral money. It's why every major website has 'best of 2022' or whatever lists for basically anything [tvs, kitchen gadgets, keyboards, monitors, controllers, etc].

Not really. Optical greatly reduces your options as well. If you want the best of the best Wooting 60HE. I’ve seen a couple of reviewers I trust and a friend that uses it. It can be adjusted to have an insanely low actuation point. Will it make you better, definitely not unless you’re already in the top 1-0.5%.

I personally use a Ducky One 3 Mini. I love it. It has a hot swap pcb and it feels really solid. It’s not too expensive. I would highly recommend it over any “gaming” keyboard.

Mechanicalkeyboards.com is a good place to buy for the Ducky.

Rtings.com has a bunch of reviews that include latency test. Just make sure whatever you pick has low latency of 5ms or less.
