Re: bf5 or 2042
@DidoDimievBg I'm currently playing, when I have the time and depending on how I feel, BF2042, BF1, BF4 and BFV (I only fly in BFV though so don't play that as much as the others).
BF4 is where its at again. Even BFV is poor despite the amount of hours I played on it.
After all the updates I'd easily put BF5 in the top 5 of the franchise. 2042 has the potential to be up there but it isn't there yet.
while 2042 has definitely potential, but needs a lot of work to be really good, I genuinely enjoying the current BFV more.
BFV is where it's at currently, great graphics, great maps, the flying is amazing, the vehicle gameplay is good, the gunplay is amazing, scoreboard, squads etc.
BF1 is a very close 2nd IMO for mostly the same reasons. I favour BFV though because the flying is more fun and it has a manual leaning keybind which is great for sniping.

Have to say BFV was more enjoyable and I especially liked the Pacific maps.
In fact the maps in general had more atmosphere / immersion and flowed better than the BF2042 maps imho.
I felt that teamwork / squad play was better in BFV.
Also the lack of so many features in BF2042 has made for a much more frustrating experience which has definitely reduced the fun factor compared to previous BF's.
There seems to be too much downtime / waiting around in menus etc in BF2042 and less playtime.
And that's because of MM, BF2042 forces me to play maps it wants me to play over and over and stops me playing maps I want to for days on end.
Bf2042 MM takes away the ability to play through the map rotation or play the game the way I want to. MM removes choice and forces me to play the way MM wants me too.
battlefield1 only looks best

Same here. Reinstalled it last week. Still a great game to play.
Totally agree, I just posted this about BF1 in another thread.
I also really enjoyed the trench warfare in BF1 it had real atmosphere and the feeling of being there.
They captured the whole era really well and the gameplay was top notch.
I think it was a top seller too if I recall correctly.

Spot on. I`m having so much fun playing infantry.
And as someone who also likes to fly it was good to get back to a mechanics where dogfights are fun again. (And joystick 😂) It was terrible in BFV.
I just posted the question to you about BF1 joystick support on one of the other threads.
Was the joystick support bad in BFV then ?.

It worked but had some problems with binding Keys.
BF have not had real joystick support since BF2.
The problems with BFV was the fly mechanics. Planes felt like flying cows and dogfight wasn't fun

Haha, I don't imagine cows would fly to well, sound like a right load of bullocks. 🙂
