Re: Can We Please Be Constructive on what needs to be changed in the game?

@hatersgottohate

No browser
Random maps
No squad selection
No private squads option

Too much on screen HUD clutter obscuring your view

Too much rain and dark lighting
Harsh lighting
Tanks unstable and some kind of weird kick when firing even on flat concrete
Tanks reverse and turn is not as good as BFV
No vehicle or infantry damage points so you can't tell how successful your hits are
Silent footsteps of infantry running up to tanks and no noise when they place the C5. It's just boom you're dead with no chance to attempt to move.
I do hear footsteps of enemies but NEVER when I've been blown up by C5!

So far I'd give the game a 7/10.

    • Poor weapon damage In base game.
    • Target doesn't always take damage when shot.
    • Gunfire doesn't always align with reticle. Very apparent within 100yds.
    • Flight controls awful. Please borrow from BF4 and separate fixed wing from rotory aircraft.
    • Removal of classes has broken balance. Too many using rocket launchers.
    • Lack of variety of weapons.
    • The few weapons available lack uniqueness.
    • The game is not good looking. The graphics and art seem haphazard.
    • The lighting effects are too bright and disorienting
    • The animations are awkward with some just broken (death animation leads to body launching)
    • The default faction characters for the AI look better than the specialists. We should be able to use them, at least in Portal
    • The specialist and character voices and talking in the game are cringe and just ruin the experience. It's unnecessary for a character to narrate their actions.
    • The portal advertisements implied the mixing of weapons and vehicles between factions. Where is this?
    • The devs really needed to do better research in regards to emerging military tech and doctrine. There are too many opportunities missed and too many creative shortcuts. F-35E? Over a new fighter like the Next Generation Air Dominance concepts? AH-64 War Chief? Over the Dauntless or Valor? M5 rifle over the Next Generation Squad Weapons concepts? The list goes on. This is just lazy, no excuses. Arma 3 did a much better job predicting the likely future eight years ago. They researched and let the research drive their creativity. The BF community would have been better served had EA did that. Not to make a military sim, but to make a better BF.
