Re: Can you please add METRO map from bf4?

We have had many brilliant maps with great close quarter combat segments in the past!

If the generic Portal2042 package had delivered as intended, all these would have been making loud and very successful returns to the game and kept our servers full 24/7.  But but, the core of the BF2042 package did not deliver this time around.  The baseline of having the sandbox available to the players is absolutely right.  It just needed more skillful implementation to have made it work.  I am also pretty convinced that more at EA/DICE can see the potential in having this setup going forward, so fingers crossed it will come right next time around.  Players can then pay a premium or ongoing fees to have access here to their select preferred map bundles and game modes.

With regards to past maps/segments, anyone who has played on these in Conquest, Rush or Team/Squad Deathmatches knows how intense great fun it can be with proper close quarter combat battles.

Not that its necessarily easy to scale them up to e.g. 64 players or 128 players, but like Flood Zone showed it was possible if proper love and attention was given by the map designers to make them work.  With larger buildings and corridors, then apart from the all time classics of Locker and Metro, then also the segments of:

• The hotel/pool area and inside to the top floors of the hotel on Hainan Resort.
• The two large industrial buildings center on the Zavod map, with roofs on several levels, inside passage ways and overhangs, ground floor and even underground rooms and tunnels between the buildings.
• The very large research center buildings at the corner of the Lancang Dam, the parking areas around, the many rooms and corridors inside, the many floors and staircases.  The roofs in different levels.
• The business/offices district area on Dawnbreaker.
• The huge two connected village areas at flag A and B on Golmud Railroad, with the endless number of houses, yards, roofs and passage ways.  If anyone ever forgot what player driven destruction and Levolution was all about in Battlefield, then logon to a Golmud Server with 3200 tickets and check this area out after 1 hour gameplay.  :o)
• And the list just goes on and on.
