Think we are many players that wants to see the communication options and team/squad spawn options restored as we had them in prior BF games like BFV or BF4.
Originally when EA/DICE opened for feedback ideas for 'the next BF game', I pleaded that we should have the VOIP option enabled and based on soldier proximity in the gameplay. This way, you could immediately get on with communicating with your team mates in the same transport heli or the friendly LAV that just picked you up on the battlefield. As this would then also enable you to communicate with all your team mates and not just those in your select squad.
And if really bringing it to the edge of Battlefield-cool (which BF2042 was thought to be.......) then proximity VOIP chat should then also include that you could sneak in on enemies in buildings/corridors/Metro/Lockers and listen in on their communication before you maybe decided to jump on them with blazing guns.
But instead we now got a broken game where even ordinary communication functionality is missing...
