Re: Cheaters on battlefield 2042

@NOFXguy81 this battlefield game has the best antichear by far. 1 and 5 were terrible but this one is pretty good. How many times I’ve been called a cheater because I have a “good” score is ridiculous. Most people who say that are 1 kd players and doesn’t understand that there are very good people out there. ( no hate just saying what I believe is happening)

This is the free trial period where cheaters can make as many accounts as they want.

When that passes, we will go back to more normal gameplay.

This game still has a lot less suspicious gameplay than BFV

There's definitely some people using wallhacks. I just had a round on Manifest where this low level player pre-fired at me while I was crouched hiding behind a shipping crate. I'm positive I wasn't spotted and I wasn't moving. No way did they hear me. He looked confused when he wasn't able to hit me. I could see this because I was hiding behind the corner of crate, he pre-fired, didn't get a hit, walked past the edge of the crate so I could see him, and he spun around to look behind him for a quick second, then I killed him.

I'm noticing a lot of weird instances like that. Pretty sure there's some low key cheaters. I'm also convinced that there's a priority aimbot, or it increases in strength when encountering players with higher KD or something. I've been targeted in other games and that's what got me into looking up to see what people are using. I'm not trying to brag or anything. It's just that these people are barely positive, like 7-6, yet they laser me while I'm behind cover barely peeking them. There will be other players around and it really does feel like they hyper focus me at times. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I have had it happen in other games. I'll tell that story if anyone is interested lol.

I haven't seen any rage hacks like I've seen in BFV, so that's good, but there's definitely some sketchy players out there.

You ask what needs to be done. Make a replay of the murder in the first person as implemented everywhere. Give the player an opportunity to evaluate how real the possibility of his murder was. Make it possible to send complaints to the player. There already tech support will understand. The more complaints about the same person, the more suspicious the player and the more attention paid to him by technical support. And all your antichins are a waste of the company's money. Private cheat all your efforts will be multiplied by zero.

i have more than 400 hours in the game now, and there is a lot of sus things going on, but i haven't encountered a blatant hacker / cheater as far as i can tell. i'm not saying that they dont exist, cause they most likely do. but with the on going issue a lot of us have with bad hit reg etc its hard to distinguish what is a "cheater" or just bad server / net-code...

Laying down, behind a boulder.  Got head shot.

    1.   He couldnt know I was there without see through the rock
    2.   How did he head shoot me through the rock.

Cheating will kill this game.  It is getting far more frequent.   The amount of suspect events have quadrupled since last season.

Do something other then sitting on your thumbs and moaning please

I played all most of the previous Battlefield titles and I think 2042 has some major gameplay decisions I would criticize. But EAC has improved the cheater problem significantly, mich more than I would have every expected.

In BF1 and 5, I saw so many rage hackers (I know, only a small amount of cheaters are rage hacking) and saw really suspect players... You could tell, many players used some type of cheat (it feels like many, but probably 5% or so).

But in BF2042, not even one rage hacker, not a single one. And beside that, not that much player, I would say, were cheating. Sure, the game feels a little bit strange (getting shot behind cover, people looking in one direction and shooting in another one, invisible player!), but that is not cheating, that are the bugs of the game.

I would not say, there are no cheaters... But it became so much better, than in previous titles, there is no comparison. And if you look into hacker forums, you see, that EAC is giving some people a hard time.

Thank you for this effort DICE.

As a skilled player and admin of BF servers for years,

I can say this is by far the most cheat-free BF. But it's not perfect.

I've encountered 3 people who are 100% cheating (other admins and top-tier players sentence them likewise)
They seem to go entirely unpunished.

There's 3 types of BF players:
-Clueless ones calling everyone a hacker, unable to conceive that their head extends above their camera.
-The general population who can't distinguish a hacker but comprehend that ping and weird stuff happens.
-The seemingly 1% who can actually discern a hacker......

    Here's a scoreboard example.
For reference, I'm a 4-5KD player, and LIFEB on the enemy team has been a 10KDR gamer in prior titles, as one of the peak BF players (He's not a hacker).
This was a short match, usually I'd get 60-80 kills.

@0_KatsuiSo you can see and shoot through walls and other obstructions?

No, this just means that you can see enemies outlines through walls; you know where they are at all times if you're looking in their direction.

Like a red-outline around their character.

So, no surprise, they're always looking at you and shoot before you register they're even there (immediately)

I am aware of Rao, Paik and the sensor ball advantage.   I was shot through the wall.
