Playing on consoles with crossplay turned off is the only way to play online games without cheaters. There's still macro scripts and MnK on console, but that's nothing compared to wallhacks, aimbot, speed running hacks, invisibility hacks, Superman flying hacks, and shooting though walls on PC.

The list of cheats goes on and on with PC gaming. I've been PC and console gaming since the '80s and I've given up on PC online gaming. Which is a shame because I enjoy 120+ frames per second with native mouse and keyboard support. Controller lag is also much lower on PC with Nvidia Reflex.

Unfortunately, the cheat accessories also increase for console. Just look at how ai has started to be used for these accessories, it's fully functional aimbots and I'm not referring to cronus and recoil scripts.

As long as youtube streamers can broadcast daily for years, without being caught by anticheat, you can't say that an AC does a real job and at most only keeps away the simplest and most easily accessible cheats. When an AC starts banning these closet cheaters too, then you can call it a real anticheat.

As it is today, a large part of anticheat work is manual reporting, and that's only possible if they've played so carelessly that it's even possible to point them out.

Closet hackers or rage, what they have in common is that they have bypassed the anti-cheat and it is a problem that must be taken more seriously than today's "for the sake of appearance" measures.

@SpoolaZ I've seen videos of AI cheats on console, but they're nowhere near as potent as cheats on PC that access system memory.

You're correct there's cheating everywhere. Personally I think the chances of running into cheaters who ruin the gaming experience is far less likely on PlayStation and Xbox. Compared to PC.

I just watched an AI console cheat demonstration video on YouTube showing how fast the technology is evolving. I'm amazed how effective the AI algorithms can track targets based solely on visual data on the screen.

I can definitely see streamers using AI cheats in their live streams and prize money tournaments.

I know Ubisoft has anti-cheat software called Mouse Trap which is used to detect mouse and keyboard players in Rainbow Six Siege on console. It detects players who move the analog sticks too quickly due to computer software controlling the analog sticks.

If Mouse Trap detects software manipulation of the analog sticks it adds input lag to the controller so the analog sticks become laggy and can't react fast enough to track a target. Mouse Trap could also be used to detect AI cheats controlling the analog sticks and then add input lag to the controller so the AI cheat software can't track the target.

It appears we are entering a new era of Artificial Intelligence Wars in multiplayer gaming. It'll be a war of AI Cheaters vs AI Anti-Cheat.

It makes me sad because I don't have much faith in profit driven gaming companies investing their revenue towards anti-cheat research and development or paying for 3rd party anti-cheat services.

Hopefully there will be a few game companies that are willing to invest enough resources so their customers can enjoy a mostly cheat free gaming experience.

I will definitely be looking for gaming companies that offer AI anti-cheat like Mouse Trap in order to counter AI aimbots on console. Although I saw other disturbing features in the AI console cheat demonstration video such as wallhacks, and I have no idea how AI anti-cheat could possibly detect it.
