@Speedranger53 So only new gen consoles and PC will be able to play with each other, and Xbox One and PS4 will be able to play with each other on old gen servers.

- @PacNbowls what so Xbox One, PlayStation 4 are the only two that play against each other? What about lower-end PCs?
- @Speedranger53 Just XB1 and PS4. PC players will have the current gen version of the game, matching against Xbox Series S/X and PS5.
- @ElliotLH i Swear i read that X1X can play with XSX but the XSX will be put into the 64 player servers with the X1X, but cannot be the other way around
- @YouPayToCampLOL That does indeed seem possible. The Series S/X would just need to be running the XB1 version.
@Speedranger53Yes, as we are on old gen we will stick in our own servers, and the new gen will be able to play with each other away from old gen consoles.

- @PacNbowls I do know about the matchmaking. That is not what I am asking about. I am asking about the physical/disc copy of battlefield 2042.
Will I be able to use physical/disc copy for Xbox one and then move over to Xbox Series x whenever I can get an Xbox Series X and use just the one copy of the game? - @Speedranger53 With the disc I dont think it will, I think it's only works with the digital version of the game, probably down the line they will probably have a disc reader that can convert it to xbox one to series x
@Speedranger53 Basically the Gold and Ultimate editions on Series S/X come with a version for old gen, as well as the current gen one. If someone on the S/X plays the old gen version they should be able to play with XB1 and PS4 players, they will be on the 64 player maps though.
