@kregoraI do not think you are considering the other side of it.
If I, or my squad / team, are slowly taking out a squad, I do not enjoy or appreciate seeing more of that squad appear out of thin-air as I am trying to eliminate them. If that is a feature you enjoy, then great, but I do not. So again, making the squads larger only exacerbates this.I could meet you in the middle and say, "Sure make the squads larger, but put better constraints on squad spawning."
To put a realistic idea to it: maybe squad spawning cannot occur within a certain flag / zone capture area... so a Staging Area and/or Assault Position (in modern military parlance) could be a planning consideration.
Ultimately, I am better at shooting holes in ideas / suggestions than coming up with new ones... I know this about myself. Please carry on.
- @carsono311 Yes, I think the meeting in the middle comment is what most people want. At least for me, that’s what I’d like. I want bigger squads, but I also understand the respawn mechanic would need to change to accommodate that.
And that’s where I’m at: change the respawn mechanic and allow larger squads. - kregora4 years agoSeasoned Ace@carsono311 "Squad leader spawn only" is such a constraint. And in my opinion that works really good.
And the situation you describe promotes squad play for the attacker and defender. This shouldn't be always you against the world, to do that, there are other games around that do it better.
