I'm having the same question.. as @quike994.
To clarify I have to buy the PS5 cross-gen version to get access to BF2042 on my PS4? (Can anyone confirm this?)

And as @quike994 says it won't appear in the PS4 library. Wich seems logic because we bought a PS5 game.

So the big question is; how does the PS4 know we bought the PS5 version with cross-gen and be able to play on the PS4 and later on when we get our self a PS5 on the PS5?

Any update on this? I don't want to buy the PS5 Standard Edition and not be able to download the game on my PS4

@ElliotLHThe PS4 store does not show that as being the case and I cannot buy the PS5 Standard Edition through the PS4 Store on my PS4. The PS4 Standard Edition does not come with the Cross Gen Bundle. The only option is to buy the PS5 Standard Edition on the webpage or app but the wording for that Edition says it is only playable on PS5.

If I buy the PS5 Standard Editon will the PS4 version be downloadable on the PS4?

Do you have more info about the crossgen PS5 Version? i bought that version to play in PS4 but doesnt show up in the library and EA or Sony dont have any info or response for that ☹️

Am I correct in stating the following:

and then you have the Cross-Gen Bundle, so you're able to start playing on your PS4 immediately that the game becomes available for download, without yet having purchased a PS5?  Is this correct?

Yes,  buy the PS5 standard digital version and you can play on either the PS4 console or PS5 console.

Stil don't understand.. I can't find the ps4 cross gen version in the PS4 store.. only de gold and ultimate edition.. 

so if i buy the PS5 version wil I be able to download and play it on my PS4?

So not like the PS5 edition with crossplay u have to instal both version on the PS5 to play with friends on a PS4.
