@UP_LordPlumberYes it would make a difference... For the moment 'crossplay on' is the standard setting when you start up the game. Thats why there are so little people on the 'crossplay off' servers, because you need to actively go change the setting. A lot of people don't bother to change it.
And the community was always split like this. If they want crossplay on they should take away the option. Right now they give you an option you can't use...
I'm on a PS5, I turned cross-play off on day one, I find plenty of games (though it can depend on the time of day). I'd prefer an option for console only cross-play. But that won't happen, I don't think DICE really care about whether a player uses cross-play or not.

Almost all the most complained about issues are crossplay related. From the terrible hit detection especially between console and pc, to pc complaining about aim assit to console players saying aim assit isnt even working to the disparity between PC having better resolution, framerate and controls making the game unbalanced for console players that have a disadvantage in pretty much every category.
Just because some better console players can adapt doesnt mean it's fair or ok. The bulk of the console population left this game directly due to forced crossplay and before you say it wasn't forced it was forced on Series console players as Dice disabled the crossplay toggle at release so we only had crossplay on it took them over 4 months to fix it and by then the population for Series systems was gutted.

They don't bother probably because they do not want to do it.
Pc players use no recoil macro/scripts etc and tbh no pc player should lose a one on one fight vs a console player.
Those Pc players can also turn faster etc yet they still state console players have a advantage!!
As an aside. Cronous is not limted to console. It works with both mouse and keyboard and controllers on PC.
