The Cosmetics is the way that they make the money from the game, If it wasn't this way it would be another more horrible way to get the money from the players
Be glad its only cosmetics which you can at least choose not to purchase and it does not ruin the game imagine if they started putting new weapons behind paywalls now thats the way we dont want to go.
Just be happy that they do it this way.
Battlefield has become great upon "good" content and DLC with lots of new and varied content. In order to sell DLC it has to be good content. In order to sell cosmetics you do not need good content...... that's the whole point. Praying on the addiction of people wanting the newest shiny.
Also I didn't wanna go there at first but there are weapon skins that change the vision of a scope, giving more awereness so more power and also the Battlepass can be skipped by paying money buying you temporary power....
And any form of earning any of these without spending money has been made basically impossible so pushes more and more into spending just make the need for good content less and less. In all the time playing 2042 I have been able to get 1 weapon skin without spending money.... messed up
