Re: DICE Can you do something about the helicopters already?

All the maps I played tonight the stealth copter/pilots had 50+ kills and 0 deaths.  Played as Rao a while and that didn't do any good.  They flare as soon as they are hacked and hide behind cover for a few and right back at it. Can't even take them down with a Condor or hind, get emp'd and their done.  Speaking of which why does the heli EMP last so much longer than the hand held one!

This was a match I was in yesterday. Not fun for either team. I was an attacker and there was no one to kill and we capped points without any resistance.

The other team tried, multiple Raos, Lis, and AA. Nothing could stop these two. This is also not just a case of great pilot/gunner. A score of 355 is absurd.

@Adamonic DICE thinks this is fine, A-OK, just dandy.

No problems here. Sure you've had players complaining about how broken air is since launch. Sure you've had players calling out how unbalanced stealth helicopters would be, and ended up being, since they were announced.

But DICE apparently thinks this is all fine.

It's no wonder the games population continues to struggle and that the reputation for the game/DICE remains extremely negative.

I'm mostly back to playing BF1 (when I can find a decent server) and V, because those games are infinitely less frustrating than the hilariously busted balance of 2042.

Specialists, which are honestly at the core of this imbalance, are really the worst idea DICE may have ever had in the studios history.

@edgecrusherO0 yeah it's not fine. You could be the best player in the world, and you are not going 133-0 in Breakthrough.

The problem with this is the defenders don't have a helo. So the aircraft only has to worry about ground AA and Rao, which are easy to avoid.

@Adamonic Especially on some maps. A good pilot on Exposure in breakthrough is literally never going to be able to be killed in most settings.

Sure, you could get a few squads focusing on them to take them down, but that amount of coordination with PUGs is unreasonable, and similarly so is the effort required. There's so much cover from defenders in every sector, with easy abuse of the cliffs to break LoS and hang out for a bit while waiting on the short repair/flare cooldowns.

@edgecrusherO0 I also think lock-on should be based on distance. The current AA lock on timing should be at max distance. However, if the helo gets right on you, there should be almost an immediate lock and fire option.

@AdamonicLet’s not forget the fact that compared to the BF3 portal AA tank, the Wildcat is total trash versus air.

    - Wildcat is slower and maneuvers left/right and backwards like crap
    - Wildcat main gun does not elevate straight up. It stops about 70 degrees elevation.

    - BF3/BF4 AA tank seems to have a longer lock on range than the Wildcat

@Zhukov211 movement in general, even with infantry feels like crappola. The Wildcat may be the worst vehicle, going in reverse is an absolute joke.

It really needs to be tweaked. The turret needs to be faster, and have more range (azimuth and elevation).
