The thanks does show up in the feed on the left of the screen, but they don't really hear it I don't think. I've revived a lot of people, and I look on the side to see and a lot of people use the Thank You but I never hear them say it out loud in world unless it's my own squad. I'm guessing that was to cut down on audio clutter.
