    Have switched off VGN V Hub and either it is a huge coincidence or it was that.  Can't think why, all it does is control DPI/lift off distance etc

    Hey there. I got this prompt today as well. Bought the bundle from Steam with all the games from the last ten years for a nostalgia trip and decided to give this one a go first just to see if it got good. After a 4 or 5 games I got the error and Steam won't refund. I don't have any programs like the OP's running and anything related to work (I work in Cybersecurity) is definitely not on my host machine. Any idea on a fix for me then? Thank God it was only $20 USD otherwise I'd throw a fit, but come on EA it's the principle you know? You guys should be better at this.

    What I don't get is why this AntiCheat cannot clearly state which process/program/application that is running it has an issue with. If it's something that it does not like, why not say: "Hey, error 1234, found program 'MouseMacroToolX' running -- please make sure it is not active when launching our game".

    That much for some software that also has some legal use but is deemed 'forbidden'.

    But if -- on the other hand -- it has detected an active cheat software, then for the love of WHATEVER, BAN! those players IMMEDIATELY. Not give a statement: hey, you have SOME cheat program running. Please stop and try again.

    I get what I call error 117, where EA Anti Cheat tells me I’m naughty for no reason. Clearing the EA App cache is the way to go. It’s happened to me 3 times since the new AC was released. Maybe it doesn’t like Ryzen Master. Maybe it doesn’t like Razer Synapse. It’s reacting to something that can change the game files in its opinion, as a cheat code would, but with PC there are a ton of legit purposes and programs. It’s why Ray Tracing had to be suspended in game, as it’s perceived as a “cheat” by EA Anticheat. It’s all well and good until I end up banned for not cheating… then I’ll freak lol. But not really lol…

    The work attitude of EA AC seems to be: "Why do the work to ban real cheaters when you can also harass normal players instead."

    As stated before, I got this error once and for me it was at least including the process that it had an issue with (ProcMon) which I had used for work on this PC during the day. Even though the process was closed and the driver unloaded it still complained, but a reboot was sufficient .-- still annoying -- to solve this.
