Re: EA  Anti-cheat = garbage

Regarding the Easy Anti-Cheat being free, it says if you are using the Epic launcher IIRC on the page, I know that 2042 is available on Epic, but not solely on that platform, so not sure if that makes a difference for only the copies sold on Epic are free and other ones require licensing? Truly no idea.

I also thought there must be some kind of catch for Easy Anti-Cheat being free, but apparently there are no catches. Easy Anti-Cheat is 100% free for everyone. Even if the game is being sold on EA Store.

I don't understand why EA switched to an inferior anti-cheat.

@OskooI_007 Wonder how they earn money then ? Anyway would be great and leave rest of us clueless why they moved to their own in house ???
  • They will never ever care about cheating, any company that did would get hold of the cheats and decompile them and then deal with it, there are players with a 95% headshot stat for heavens sake, human beings couldn't get anywhere even close to that, an instant ban for that alone would take out hundreds of players

There are people i reported months and months ago that are still cheating on the same accounts, This company don't even do the bare minimum to mitigate cheating, i have seen actual Dev streams where the Devs are being cheated against and nonchalantly laugh it off by saying "there's nothing we can do about it"

This series is a joke, look on any cheat website and BF is always the most discussed and used cheats, it has always been the same

I really can't tell is EA Anti-cheat is doing anything, EA's lack of posting bans doesn't help. You would think the banned players would come here to complain more often if it was working.

That said the cheaters have had a long head start so I suspect they will be hard to root out.

I am not sure which was better, the EAC or the EA anti-cheat, but immediately after the switchover there was a temporary decrease in cheaters, so I don't think it was totally ineffective. However, this type of app will be countered over time, so either way, I don't think the number of cheaters will decrease unless new measures are taken all the time. By the way, I think the fact that the app can now be launched once is an improvement. Before that, you had to hit the launcher 6 or 7 times to get it to launch properly. I think they switched from a tool whose detailed behavior was unknown to their own tool to address these old problems that had been pointed out to them. It was not a financial issue.

I agree with you that EA is really utilizing anti-trash cheats.
