Re: EA/Dice this a mess of your own making

I understand that means relinquishing control to some extent but I ultimately believe it would end up a net positive change.

I'm not sure you see the existential threat here.

A change like this would be tantamount to admitting that the original decision, to remove the player agency represented by a server browser, was wrong. It would mean that the people who, in Dice, argued for and supported this decision would lose face if such as thing was admitted to.

Dice have the mindset where they don't even have to acknowledge when they deliver things late, let alone apologize. Admitting an actual, strategic error in the fundamental approach they took with 2042 is orders of magnitude worse than that.

Why do you think there's no specialist feedback loop yet? Because they already know what its going to say and, frankly, they don't want to have to acknowledge that.

    Existential threats aside 😉

I still think bringing back community owned/operated servers and allowing admins to change/alter map rotations and modes is a good of a barometer they can use as to what the customer base ACTUALLY wants.

Ive been on a gaming hiatus and just loaded up BF2042 again to see what changed. Its really sad that the developers are just too stubborn to admit: This title just didnt work.

Learn from the mistakes and move on. I mean at this time, BF4 had all 4 DLCs released each with 4 maps. Basic things like a server browser are still missing. Cringe lines are still there and the maps still suck. No changing location of A or B will help them. People never wanted a hero shooter. We wanted a new modern Battlefield. And this aint it. They can polish this * to death but its really just a waste of time and a weekly insult to the fans.

The ultimate insult will come with Season 1, when ONE single new map will drop. Remember when they said "content is king"? There is none.

100% agree, bring it on, this is exactly the type of stimulus BF2042 needs to get back on track and get back to it's true roots. !

As you rightly say the map count in BF2042 is abysmal in comparison to earlier BF's , Season One had better rectify this and add 4 maps or more, it needs refreshing.
