- @indi81 So we have a lot of similar programs running in the background. RGB lightning software (in my case: Aquasuite, Nanoleaf Desktop App and MSI Mystic Light), Stream Deck Software, HWInfo.... Plus some more... I've just filled a technical support ticket with EAC (not another ban appeal) to ask them to pin down the problem and to check if EA has implemented EAC the right way... As EAC is developed by EPIC I've also accesed their developers section to read through some public available Documents regarding EAC and how to implement it... Hoping to find a clue which helps me to pinpoint the problem in my case...
- @QU4NT0R The only sideloaded DLL I found when running bf2042.exe is the "Logitech G Legacy LED SDK" (c:\program files\LGHUB\sdk_legacy_led_x64.dll), besides what I'd consider validated DLL's from Nvidia, Epic, Origin, Microsoft and Valve.
A very simple search

strange Ghub users never mention this!
Just because Logitech makes it lol it dosent make it ok!
- @emerson1975 I agree that they should keep macros and specifically scripted mouse control (i.e. anti-recoil patterns) out of the normal driver software, but I cannot find any option for controlling mouse and keyboard settings (DPI and RGB) without using Logitech G hub right now.
To add, Logitech is also the official PC Peripherals partner for Battlefield 2042. @indi81It’s a cert that’s what’s getting you banned.
You can look on many cheat sites and they sell lua scripts for ghub and many games like valorant are banning for it.Am pretty sure EA will just tell you it breaks the tos.
Many people think they can get around the anti cheat using ghub because scripts can be on the peripheral and not ram but a good anti cheat will hook into to input side and see eratic movements caused by the script
- TheGoodCharles4 years agoRising Adventurer@emerson1975 If GHUB is able to adjust your recoil control and/or move the mouse, then this is cheating & scripting. Literally using a software to give yourself an advantage. Though the reasoning behind my ban is still unclear, I haven't used any advanced stuff on my GHUB, all I did was to assign G to one of my mouse buttons to throw grenade. Or use the typical buttons on my mouse to switch weapons. Even that could be permanantly bannable? Literally Gold Edition of BF2042 is down the drain?
I switch my weapons and throw grenade with my mouse in Apex Legends for years and never have received a ban despite it also having Easy Anti Cheat...
Leaves only the possibility of DICE devs implementing EAC's api poorly, resulting in false-positives by thousands..
I can't wait for Tom Henderson's research to be complete. - @emerson1975 I think EA would certify partner software, specifically if it (Logitech G Hub) is used for almost all their peripherals,
"The Official Battlefield 2042 PC Peripherals Partner – Logitech: EA and Logitech will work together to ensure players have Logitech integration for their gear, including Logitech’s LIGHTSYNC technology for peripherals and in-game audio presets with optimized EQ for Logitech headsets."
To add, I am not using G hub for any macros and I dont think its injecting anything related to macros either. The SDK is for the LED functionalty, indicators for Lightsync or keyboard/mouse RGB game feedback. - @thegoodcharles The bannable part is the scripts, maybe you should talk to Logitech about it too
- @indi81 The trouble is ghub doesn’t have to inject anything it can all be done straight through the kb/m and maybe EA did not realise ghub had the ability to do this as many people don’t.
Well something finally makes sense, after reading the last 4 pages the penny finally dropped, my ban happened shortly after I assigned my DPI button on my logitech G402 to the rear view in vehicles so I could quickly switch between views, never even occurred to me that this would be deemed a hack or cheat, just a big help as it was nigh impossible to steer in the external view. I cannot believe I have been permanently banned, seems so stupid.
- TheGoodCharles4 years agoRising Adventurer@Locutos28CDM DUDE !! I also very RECENTLY assigned the top button (near wheel) to change DPI but to a VERY high DPI and during the match, I'd switch DPIs very quickly (Because I was playing Dozer and shield turn would feel better if my DPI was high but for shooting, I'd lower my DPI with the same button)
Ahh yet another possibility for me to think about ..
