In prior BF games with many more weapons like BF4, we had to have 500-520 kills with a given weapon to unlock ALL the accessories for a weapon. And do not think that that is unreasonable, if it means by then we will indeed have all options unlocked for it.
Think it is OK that some grinding is involved to get all the options unlocked.
Similar, the weapon master dog tag was awarded at 500 kills with any weapon to master it.
