Re: Hardcore Mode in Battlefield 2042

@CyberDyme I don't thinks that hope on the Portal be as Hardcore mode is good idea. It would be like Community servers in BFV. You will manually check every "HC" called server, each of them will be different, some would have 100 hp, some 60 hp, some would allow friendlyfire, some would allow minimap.
I think Dice should run official Hardcore mode and official Hardcore servers on the launch to stick HC community together and provide classic HC mode as it was in BF3 and 4

    Actually @MaratBoy ,

EA will provide standard templates for the servers in the Portal.  So I hope/expect that they will also provide the standard for hardcore mode in this connection, as they also do for like Large Conquest, etc.  And it is only if you then decide to fiddle around with diversion from the HC standard that your server there will be tagged as 'custom mode'.  So expect to be able to search also for servers with the tag identifying them as hardcore.

@MaratBoyThats a fair concern to have, maybe they should work with presets to guarantee a more consistent experience. Server info should clearly show then wether a preset or custom settings are used.

We already had such server presets in the past when we sat up our own servers, so expect EA to replicate what was already working well back then!
