I had an instance last night that was crazy.

I was reloading and saw an enemy. so I strafed to get behind cover. well the player/game slid me back to where I was and I died. 

the same player killed me several times in very questionable situations that game. I don't think he was cheating, but something was very questionable with his whole squad, which finished top of their team.  my best guess is lag, which is caused, and amplified, by low player count at this point.

one thing I've noticed over the years (since BF3), the higher ping you have the more God like you are.  if you have low ping, you get destroyed.  Dice seem to favor high ping players.  its BS.  I pay good money for good internet, I shouldn't be punished for it.

    BF4 and BF1 lag compensation turned off if ping was over 160ms and switched to server-side hit detection instead of client-side. I wonder if 2042 does this too. It used to show your high ping in the top right corner of screen if ping is too high.

    Thats a good question! It would explain some weird stuff that is going on. With BF 4 if I switched to the South American servers, I was Godly. I live on the west coast US. This, in my humble opinion should never happen.

    Getting killed behind cover is very prevalent in BF2042, the sooner we get a fix for this issue the better.

    Was there any feedback from the devs in regard to the damage log the mods here asked players to install and screenshot findings?
    As I recall there was clear evidence of fairly severe disparity between TTK/TTD.
    Did anyone from EA/Dice ever respond to the players that helped?

    Makes me wonder if they will ever fix it. Also brings a point others made that all seasons and content are already there and they just have to release it. And the team has moved on. I have yet to hear about any fix to the game breaking issues.

    @RayD_O1 I wasn't killed behind cover. I was pulled from cover, back to where I originally saw the enemy player, then was killed, in one or two shots from a K30, at a bit of range, I might add.


    I was able to only finish one game last night. just constant bullet sponging enemies or pure lack of hit detection. I find it odd that the one game where I could actually kill enemies, my team won the match, coincidence. I think not. it seems which ever team has lag advantage wins, every time. totally game breaking.

    I feel players are being split across too many game modes. with the almost nonexistent player base, they are just spread too thin

    I’ve been following this thread for some time , I’m on the west side of North America and usually ping around 60.

    The squad (Party) I always play with also ping around 60 , some nights things are fine or normal .

    Other nights we all struggle with the hit reg , it depends on the server we’re on .

          Last weekend We were playing late into the night around 230 am mountain when the round was over 

    the next round took a while to find a server when we finally got in we all had a really fantastic round.

           There were so many easy kills that I checked the ping and we were all pinging around 160.

    It was like the other team were not seeing us and we had the drop on them, while it was fun I thought 

    that’s what it feels like some nights against us.

           The later we play into the night the more bots are in the game as North American players drop out , but for that night for what 

    every reason we got into a server with our 160 pings and we were owning players.

    But at the same time its a good example that there is still alot of needed work to be done.

    I'm again at the point of having to jump from server to server trying to find one where my shots register.

    Strangest thing I've ever seen in a game. It literally takes me 20 hits for a kill and I'm getting wiped out in one or 2.

    Don't even get me started about the hip fire of the SFAR. My biggest gripe by far is when shooting at an enemy who is hiding behind a crate, when you hit them, how is that not a headshot?

    It is literally the only part of their body visible above the crate /object.

    Every once in a while I find a server where hits register. I think the game can't handle 128 players.
