Re: How to disable profanity filter?

We had a huge discussion thread about this very subject at game launch, as EA/DICE had decided to simply impose the profanity filter by default and with no option to turn it off, no matter what the individual players desired on their own.
A bit ironic, as the arguments was to be sensitive to kids/minors, all despite the game is legally sold only to adults with the 18+ age restriction.
Personally I do not want the slur and profanity, as don't see it adds to my gaming pleasure. Actually the contrary. But I do agree the option to switch the filter ON/OFF should of course then have been a player preference, for each of us to simply to decide on upon.
That's how simple it should have been, and still be inclusive for the BF2042 game to cater and make the game suit all of us.
We are all different and we should embrace the diversity!
