Re: I fully expect the next new specialist to...

@TAW_Rinko that would be annoying but after their first kill someone will come looking for them. i make a habit out of hunting a sniper on the rare occasion they actually get me (usually running around too much for most of the "snipers" to actually connect with a head shot). i like snipers on the enemy team, they take up a slot and just keep shooting and missing

on a serious note though...i wonder what the next specialist gadget will be (i too look at specialists as a gadget). some sort of artillery call in like BC2
wouldn't surprise me

It'd be a reversion to earlier entries in the BF series. We dealt with snipers without glimmers in 1942, we can do it now.

While I posted it quickly and with an amount of flippancy, on reflection I think that it would actually be a fairly popular option as a specialist for snipers and, given its really just bringing back an old mechanic, not super game breaking. Perhaps it comes with a slightly slowed down reload rate, as a bit of balance.

Snipers can be a serious pain as defenders in rush mode though, especially if the opposing side doesn't get any air vehicles to help root them out.
