Thats exactly what they are doing. They dont have an answer for you so they dont want it spoken about, but i have the best solution. REMOVE pc from cross play so console gamers can still play with their friends who have different consoles and let pc master race go be the master race by themselves

That would be an acceptable measure if the game was only available on console, but a large portion of the playerbase is on PC.  That doesn't really "solve" the problem.  (there are ways to cheat on console also).

There are ways to cheat on console but it is NO WHERE near as bad as PC and it never will so why should console players have to deal with the extremes of PC cheating. Removing pc from crossplay if they cant fix it through anti cheat it is the only way to go or just remove cross play altogether as turning it off wont solve anything but a loss in player base as proof with warzone. warzone you can turn it off but nobody wants to because crossplay is fun..... when its both consoles 

Let me guess: you only play on console and you don't care if there is cheating on PC.  You are a true champion of console gamers who don't care as long as it doesn't affect you.

Seriously though, you are basically saying, "just make this game for console" (which would seriously affect sales and profit margins)
.. although it would make my decision about whether or not to pre-order much easier 🤔 maybe you are on to something here 😛

the only games that i play on pc anymore are anything thats not fps. i got a console bc pc cheating has always been an issue for fps games and its only gotten worse over time. so yeah i do not care, why should i have to care about something that will never get solved 

I think Answers HQ mostly has a newbie population and a lot of threads have very little depth. Most threads don't get better than 'what do I get when I preorder version X or Y?'.

Maybe for that reason only, it's better to discuss on Reddit or something. 

Because the "I've been gaming since BF1942 and I know a hacker when I see one"    is soo getting tired.   Most of these hackusators don't even know that the setting have and auto aim assist on or off.      I mean the " I see hacks everywhere" is getting just plain boring.

Are there hackers .....  yes   but not 50% of the players in every map,  I mean maybe your aim just isn't what it use to be.  

And if they allow the hacker threads to continue the amount of crazy talk that goes on just gets stupid to the point that players are questioning everything.

They really  have no choice.     

I stay away from Reddit and Twitter for that very reason (and also because it's a cesspool of misguided opinions and bad information).  
If EA Forums are not the proper place to discuss it, might as well ignore it I guess .. nothing is going to get solved on Reddit and it's a wash of noise so fierce that nobody would hear it anyway (im my opinion).  

Honestly, Battlefield is one of the very few shooters I still play . . maybe I should just give it up - cheating is gonna be a problem just like the last game and the one before that . . . (not sure why I hold out any hope this will be any different).  Great fun in testing and trashed soon after release by cheating - such a good franchise with alot of potential ruined by cheaters.

No, it's not half the people on any server, but prevalent enough to be "tiresome" and take the fun out of alot of sessions in my experience.  But, you are right about my aim and general skill level - I'm a filthy casual and I can accept that.  But getting rekt repeatedly by aimbot snipers across the map that know exactly where you are hiding kinda ruins the fun and is pretty obvious when it does happen.  I am easy enough to kill on a level playing field .. using cheats is just insulting 😛

Anyway, this is probly my last post in this forum since this is my last major concern and I'm not allowed to talk about it.  I would have pre-ordered if I had some reasonable assurance that more than token steps were being taken to deter cheating and punish those who are caught.  But, cheaters buy games too 😛
It's a valid concern and enough to deter me from pre-order.  I have decided to take a "wait and see" approach since actions speak louder than words and there are no words except, "we don't want to talk about it" (maybe they will release a statement before launch, but I doubt it).  Have fun on the Battlefield 🙂

@EA_Atic thank you for that response (and not banning me for bringing it up again) .. I look forward to more information about this and seeing what measures they will take to it manage it.  Saying "we are aware of the concern and working on it" is way better than not talking about it.  I understand that talking about anti-cheat can lead to toxicity and unwanted discussion of specific cheats and where to find them and I respect that we don't want that here.  I am done talking about it.

@flashptguardYea, it's fair to say when major news outlets cover cheats on consoles popping up, it's not just a single percentile thing anymore on those platforms either.

Just easier access/less investment on PC (not counting hardware costs)

Edit: On a brighter note though, I'm pretty positive about the current statements regarding portal servers and persistent rules/banlists etc.

I'd love to see a review/follow feature added too, but a few big guilds (with rational people running them) with constant admin monitoring will probably make it a lot less painful than some worry it will be.

what about the conquest servers? Are we stuck in portal servers only to combat cheating?

We have been specifically warned about posting links about cheating even if it's not a direct link to cheats.  This is the only thread on this topic that has been allowed to stay open afaik . . @alesafterWell I did have a link that showed that cheats are not limited to pc but as you saw that got removed. So I’ll just say this instead; do about 20 seconds of research and you would discover you’re incorrect.
