There's only one reason I would pre-order. Which is to get the Midnight skin so I can camp invisible in dark corners and get cheap kills. 😁
Edit: actually looking closer at the pre-order wording, it appears the stuff in the bottom picture is only pre-order content.
So I guess you don't even have to pre-order to get the Midnight skin. So yeah, feel free to play the beta and then decide if you want to buy the Ultimate Edition for cheap kills!

- @OskooI_007 I hadn’t noticed that Midnight skin before now. That’s bad news for someone like me who dislikes having silly costumes in Battlefield.
Frankly I am angry at DICE for adding cosmetics, and sad about it. It means Battlefield is no longer the same game, at least for me. Seeing all kinds of stupidly dressed people running around (or rather: ice skating around) just kills all immersion and fun for me.
I never thought I’d not buy a new Battlefield game, but then again I never thought I should see ridiculous costumes in Battlefield. @VOLBANKER_PC I don't mind skins so long as they're done in good taste and don't turn into this.
I'm more worried about the gameplay. Such as TTK and player movement being too fast with no body weight. And of course bots in multiplayer.
But you're right, DICE knows exactly what they're doing releasing a pitch black Roze skin in Battlefield for $120. They're cashing in on a cosmetic item that gives a gameplay advantage.
I imagine after BFV there's a lot of pressure on upper management at DICE to make money in BF2042, otherwise EA could potentially turn DICE into a mobile games studio. I say that because that's where most of the money is now-a-days.
Hopefully DICE can deliver.
