Your reasoning is solid but your solution is poor.
Choosing what class and in 2042 what specialist we want is vital to player satisfaction in the main game modes.
The problem with Lis is that it's not just Lis that tanks have to deal with, it's the rampant amount of infantry anti tank firepower that is being carried by a team at any one time.
I was trying to approach B flag on Orbital 64 from the skyscraper side of the map recently and as soon as I drove over the car park I got attacked by several inf with Lis, M5 and Sundance homing grenades.
It was nuts and a Lis finished me off before I had any chance of escaping.
And that was on a 64 player server.
Hopefully class rework will reduce that somewhat.
- @Tank2042Man I have another proposal about liz. liz can step over cover to attack the tank but the tank can't attack him. Can we replace liz's TV guided missile with a handheld Dow missile so that liz has to step over cover to attack the vehicle
- @Tank2042Man Make liz's role push to the front line instead of hitting tanks remotely across a mountain

I think that focusing on Lis alone is kind of a mistake - right now, until the class changes come in to play anyway, effectively every enemy can carry a rocket launcher.
I do agree though that you don't last long in a vehicle when one or two people focus on you. Or at least that what it feels like to me when I do use them.

I've roughly 200 hours in armour and to survive in a tank you have to retreat, a lot whilst checking all views, that's 360 and also checking above for stealths and parachuting C5 attackers.
Every time a chopper, especially a transport or nightbird flies over you, you have to check the skies for parachuting enemies.
It takes a lot of work to survive in one tank.
Everyone can still go on mini rampages but then they are just rolling the dice on whether they survive or get blown up.

You've got a lot more hours than me so that's valuable advice, especially what you say about it taking a lot of work. There are so many angles to cover and I find that sometimes tunnel vision can be a problem.
- kregora3 years agoSeasoned Ace@chiakikaihc I guess you have reached T4 with Lis, and are really surprised how overwhelmingly powerful she is?
If not, please try it.
