@Travis3DThere actually has been HOTAS support for the past few releases. The gamepad / joystick binding is considered "Custom" I believe and has to be set manually, but it is possible and has worked in previous titles.
(Joystick is listed on the Battlefield V Settings screen above ^)
that option showing joystick is not available how do you bring it up?
I have same issue, doesnt show the joystick options.
I’ve set my controller options to custom, in 2024, and that feature was not available
@carsono311 As the others have stated we are not seeing the option in 2042.

I tried last night and my joystick wouldn't work sadly. Really wanted to try out the choppers with my ol'Logitech! Didn't matter to much since people who were flying were appearing in and out, one spot to another. I wasn't touching the sky with a 10-foot pole! lol
Either way hope it's all fixed up soon.
Damn! I had not considered it a possibility, but that is cool.
