- @TrasteTh Yeah BF5 and BF2042 seem to have really gone the screaming route. Believe it or not the BF5 Alpha was 100% worse and they toned down the screaming in the downed state based on Community feedback.
- @ragnarok013 How was the screaming on BF5 after the adjustment? Did the characters talk to themselves too in BF5?

At launch I received feedback from fellow combat veterans on the forum that the screaming, even after the initial alpha reduction, was causing some adverse experiences so I passed it to the studio and they nerfed the screaming again. Much better but IMO still pretty unnecessary.

@ragnarok013 It's actually really good to hear that Dice did that as the screaming was probably very, for lack of a better word, unpleasant for lots of veterans. I can only imagine what that must be like to live with.

@ElliotLH When I first experienced it before any nerfs I had a reaction to it too which I promptly reported to Jeff resulting in the first round of adjustments. DICE was really supportive of their actual Combat Veterans which left a very good impression of DICE in my mind. Jeff was an excellent CM just like Tom and Steve are right now.

@ragnarok013 They sure are and Jeff was great too from what I saw. It's definitely a good thing that they listened still. I could see some companies just shrugging their shoulders and not making any changes.
Really hoping something similar can happen if there are similar issues and feedback with 2042.

@ElliotLHThat is Hero level quoting! 🙂
- ElliotLH4 years agoHero+@TrasteTh Hehe Hero AND Guardian level in fact. I think Ragnarok013 and I just do it in honour of the old forums.

@ElliotLH I mainly quote in order to show what I'm responding to for clarity. I actually had someone back in BF3 change their initial post after I responded and say I was wrong when I was correct in response to their original post.

@ragnarok013 Well that makes sense - don't want someone doing that to you. I do quite miss how often quotes were used on the old forums though, it made busy posts easier to follow.

@Trokey66 They sure did. I can remember some really long quote-trains, and clearly you do too 😄
P.S. Well played with the pyramid.

I sincerely apologize for my insolence and disrespect, I am too much of a noob to appreciate the finer aspects of quoting.
I will take heed and be observant so that, also I can aspire to such levels. - ElliotLH4 years agoHero+
