No, it's not to restrict players from movement, it's to have an even paying field.

MacNeoScrub is OP as FK.

    BTW,

    I've no problem with Sundance at all, or any other character in the game for that matter.

    Cool, then give every character the ability to equip that perk like in BFV? I'm down for that. Were people complaining about movement in BFV? I don't recall ever seeing an issue with it.

    There is no "even playing field" in BF2042 with Specialist, hence the name Specialist. They have a perk, but then someone has a different perk for a different situation. No one is perfect for all situations.

    People complaining about MacKay, are you using a controller or MnK? I think the networking needs some work, but movement isn't crazy in this game. People stutter around, but that's something to do with networking.

    @RaginSam main annoying movement issue with BFV was the sliding mechanic that * was so terrible. It was too much like COD.

    @RaginSam Last week I played against a Mackay with Avancy dude was Stuttering the entire game. He went like 50-10. Was impossible to shoot the guy the way he was just stuttering left and right, hit box was all over the place hated it.

    @CarreraLuu It wasn't like COD at all. If anything BF2042 feels way more like COD than BFV. When sliding you got a pretty heavy accuracy penalty with a firing delay. You couldn't just slide and hip-fire like you can in Apex or something. Lots of people falsely claim that, but sliding was more of a gimmick, something interesting to do while moving. It wasn't nearly as tactical as people make it out to be.

    People conflate network issue with mechanics. You see someone sliding and firing, but what's actually happening is they slide first, then fired afterwards. The server isn't showing what's going on accurately. Whenever I slide and tried to shoot, there was such a delay that I didn't bother. I used it to get into cover, and to keep my momentum while reloading, and doing other actions. I never used the slide to engage someone. In BF2042 that's completely different. You can slide out of cover to get the drop on someone and it's awesome. It adds depth to movement and gives you different options to engage a fight.

    Again, Mackay only gets a movement buff while ADS. So, everyone can strafe at the same speed. It's only when he's exclusively aiming down sights that he gets a buff. You can alternate between ads and hipfiring to mimic the same thing.

    Are you using a controller or MnK? These are the nuanced mechanics that make shooters fun for MnK users.

    Macrutch seems to be the golden standard for specialists. Just consider how he was not nerfed in any way since the release

  • I agree it needs to be looked at and adjusted for balance purposes.
