Re: Matchmaking in BF2042 is just super aint it?

While I do understand that this can cause some inconvenience or frustration, I may be able to explain this behaviour of the game. I'll try to keep it short and concise.

It is possible that this may be caused by you wanting to re-matchmake for the same mode every time within a few seconds, leaving the game with the Map (and Game Mode) still 'cached' and therefore the game thinks you want to play that mode on that map (in that server) again.

You can most likely prevent this by waiting a little longer before matchmaking again, or first trying to matchmake for a different Game Mode.

Ok I'll give it a shot, this is usually how I can get a different map though, it just won't do it today for some reason..
And you have got to admit there IS a better way....🙂

Out of curiosity, how long do you usually wait before trying again?

@sk1lldI think what Leeuw is saying is click on a different mode, what until it finds a game, then stop before the map loads and go back to the mode you wanted. I’ll be trying that later. Seems stupid to have to keep using workarounds when we all know the solution is a server browser. Worth a shot though, thanks for the suggestion EALeeuw.

MM is a total joke and this has been talked about over and over many times on the forums.

Why haven't these issues been fixed a year ago? This is not rocket-science and should be a pretty easy back-end fix.

In the latest Inside Battlefield podcast the hosts commented that they are aware of the issues and complaints surrounding how long it takes the matchmaker and the wait time between matches.
They are already testing some code changes which reduce the delays. They weren't able to give any specific timeframe when it would be released. But, did commit that improvements in this area are coming.
