Re: New Battlefield Game Trailer looks Amazing!
@AdamChattaway far less or cut content? You got AoW, you got Hazard Zone and with Portal they gave you a powerful tool to create your own experience. It also contains content from BF1942, BFBC2 and BF3 (vehicle, weapon, mechanics and some maps)
As I said before if you don't like Hazard Zone or Portal is not DICE fault, they put in something new and there are many players that like it
It seems that you had very high expectations and personal preferences and you get disappointed that your demands got not fulfilled...
I don't miss a single player campaign, don't played it in BF1 and BF5. imho the best story and single player we got in BFBC 1 & 2 and BF3 was ok and in BF4 the stars already falling
Also, that there is no single player campaign was known upfront...
And as I said before not every game is made for every one
CoD has lost me after MW3 and guess why? Because they were going in a direction that not match my preferences and expectation... so I have spoken with my wallet and didn’t bought it since then but its seems that other players are liking what CoD has become and that’s is ok. But I don’t go out into public and complain about it…
EA is a big Company and every company tries to create income but DICE is only one studio of many owned by EA. Each game has a budget to create and maintain for around 2 years (I guess). And if this game can’t create enough income, they will pull the plug.
BF3, BF4, BF1 are still playable and they are still hosting master and game severs but these games are not really creating income anymore... so players of these games should be happy that related to the costs created by maintaining this services that they still can playing 8 years after release...
You don't like season passes and that’s ok but, in my opinion, this is an easy way to create income to keep the game alive and put out new content. And nobody is forcing you to buy season passes anyway…
If you look back to the old games the Player base was divided into the group which bought the map packs and the group which didn’t bought.
Unfortunately, this splits the player base and not every map were played as much as before. And if the real-life kicks in and you don’t find the time when the map pack is released you then you may be unlucky that you can’t make all assignments to unlock weapons or gadget…(because nobody playing it...)
This happens in BF4 and BF1 so they changed it in BF V in the way that every map is playable for every player no matter which version you bought… But in the end, this didn’t work out because without additional income you can’t support a game over years… and guess what some players weren’t pleased that they have dropped the support for BF V
Now they have chosen the way with a game as a service to build the base for a long-time support and guess what, some players again weren’t pleased.
DICE can do what they want in the moment and they can’t please everyone.
A Halo with 128 player more vehicles and epic battles? I think many Halo fans can see this but imo Halo always was a Single player\Coop game for me and not a main Multiplayer Shooter which is BF for me.
“BF 2042 should have been...“ see you have expectation which are not fulfilled but hey you can expecting what you want but I still enjoying BF2042 and time will tell what DICE will bring us…
See you on the Battlefield
