Re: No More Spread Nerf

@GrizzGolf

Isn't this EXACTLY how a LMG without a bipod should work? Do you think it is a good design to be able to laser people with LMGS on full auto running across the battlefield > 100m away?

I posted a reply in the other thread already, so I don't want to repeat myself here. But as soon as bursting works as it should, adding spread is indeed the correct way to balance weapons and restrict their maximum effective range.

    @ForumUser but the problem is currently even with a bipod those lmgs are not viable anymore, the spread is so random...

    @direct3r Correct, the bipod does very little, if anything. When shooting against a wall while prone, the spread appears to be 3 feet across. That said, I don't know how to measure the actual spread, ie 3 feet to verify if my claim is correct.

    @TheseusJason lying, sitting whatever with or without bipod does just barely help. You can single shot and still the stuff goes random, which just was not case prior to the latest patches (or not that heavy at all)...
    For me the current state of weapon balancing is horrible, play AR or Sniper and you are okay but the rest is just crap and does not make fun anymore

    I mean yes.....but it's battlefield....But I do agree with you that if bursting did work the way intended than it wouldn't be so much an issue

    @direct3r I understand your frustration. For me LMGs work fine when prone, otherwise the recoil is awful; but the spread is ok.

    I fully agree re. odd changes after each patch & update. I always have to redo my settings afterwards.

    It seems people are having different experiences depending on platform and perhaps settings. I have never played a game quite like this before, I must say. It seems like it's the first game DICE developed.

    The recoil finally didnt seem that bad today. For some reason it felt like the portal LMGs are a bullet behind the AOW LMGs
