You know how in hip fire your on screen crosairs expand. If you drew a curved line between them, it creates a circle. That's the bloom area.

Basically any bullet you fire can go in any direction within that circle. In BF2042 it's like your hip firing ALL the time. Most games with ADS reduce your bloom massively when using ADS making 90% of your shots go on target.

But not BF2042. It applies. Always. And as you might notice AR and LMG have the biggest blooms. Conversely, DMR and SMG have much smaller areas allowing them to out perform other weapons at all ranges.

So by ADS your only hurting yourself as it provides no true benefit but slows your movement down.
