There are also sometimes server issues from EA's side that had impact on portal servers only.

We had it a few times in BF2042 that there were server or matchmaking issues only affecting portal.

Maybe there was also something happening during that time when you faced the issue. 

This message also can appear if you are in a portal server created from a player and he takes down the server while you are on it.

Maybe it was any of those situations for you.

In case it works fine again now. 🙂

    Yeah I have seen that happen on Unofficial Portal Servers.

    Probably the Server Host forgot to tick the box in the options menu to make his server persistent so went he left the match the server closed.

    @RayD_O1 i always had this setting OFF for persistent servers. But the server still stays up as long as there is people on it, even if you leave.

    This setting is just to keep servers up even if they're empty. (when they usually would go down)

    But this message can still come up if the server owner goes to his portal server collection and clicks on "take down server". Cause then it'll kick you out as it goes down.
