Re: Please add Gyro Aiming!

@BgobbleDI wouldn't expect this feature to be added personally, given the reluctance from Dice to add additional input methods for console players.

I dont expect it in BF2042.  But hopefully the next title.  Its better to bring awareness to some level than staying quiet.

Is Gyro-aim a licensed software? does EA have to license it from a competitor. If so I don't see this happening.

No.  Its just the utilization of gyroscopic technology inside almost all controllers.  Gyro Aim is just a term we give it.  Its no different than setting up Keyboard and Mouse as an input option.  Pretty much every smart phone has the technology as well now.  Tons of mobile games take advantage of the technology.  It seems most Nintendo games have it these days and PS4/5 games have been implementing it more frequently.

MW2 and Fortnite have it as well.  Fortnite was implemented by a single dev.  Usually does not take too long to do so according to him either.

Here is a guy who also shows off with a single Joycon on Ultrakill on PC.  He does this on Apex Legends as well.

Here is someone on PC who plays BF2042 frequently with Gyro Aim as well:

As mentioned before, the physical movement of Gyro Aim is about the same as using a mouse (almost all of it is in the wrists).  Its nothing like the Wii days where it required large movements.
