Re: Please rate the seven BF2042 maps in order of preference

Hmm ok I'm going to rate them from a tank POV and assuming there's not a lot of AGM spam going on AND I spawn on my preferred side depending on the map.

Don't know about 128 but on 64 player maps which team you are on can have a major impact on your tank game.

1. Hourglass 

2. Orbital 

3. Kaleidoscope (US only!)

4. Discarded 

5. Breakaway 

6. Renewal

7. Manifest 

To be honest there's not much between my top 4 when it comes to tank play.

As for infantry, I manage to have a good time on all the maps playing as Boris with my sentry gun, NTW50 and the AT or AA rocket launcher.

It's hard not to enjoy that combo, it's just so good!

    They should just remove breakaway, kaleidoscope and hourglass until they have been reworked.

    Breakaway is stupid unbalanced. The Russians starts with a massive high ground advantage and 3 points that the US will almost never get. A Russian Sundance can fly a spawn beacon to what ever point she wants. While the americans have to fight an uphill battle in a * ice valley.

    Kaleidoscope and Hourglass what is there to say? Theres ZERO cover. The only thing i do on these maps is fight at my one designated infantry building or try to get a spawn beacon to it.

    4. Kaleidoscope

    5. Breakaway

    99. Hourglass

    A lot of the dysfunctional conquest maps kinda works on breakthrough, except Hourglass, Hourglass is still *.

    99. Kaleidoscope

    99. Renewal

    99. Breakaway

    999. Hourglass

    Defending is overall a terrible experience.

    Thanks, it's also interesting to see the comparison on how the maps play between Breakthrough / Conquest modes.
