Re: Rangers are too WEAK!

I'm not going to even waste time debunking that silly comment. Just know that XBOX One can't play the 128 player matches with the next generation models and I believe it is the same with the PS4. You're locked at 64 players and an Xbox One or PS4 version of the game.

I agree with the portion of your comment concerning PC gaming. Even with a 3090 its just not my cup of tea. I'll probably sell my PC once they perfect Xcloud gaming.

@Hezek1yahsince you edited your original comment i will edit mine:

i know what the version differences are in the console generation.  having said that i am quite happy with the 64 player maps and from the response that the series x/ps5/pc players, many of them like it better too.

i have played both versions and i am quite happy to stick with the 64 player current gen versions.  we don't have a lot of the issues that i see complained about on the next gen/pc versions

  • There is but I'm not going to waste time doing it. Believe what you want. I don't know you and you don't know me.

  • Being locked at 64 players doesn't do it for me but that's a personal preference. If you like it then you like it. It is what it is. No real issues with 128 player matches on my end or those I game with. They are pretty darn epic.

As far as you claiming people are complaining and wanting the lower version. I can't co-sign that or even agree that actual next gen owners have claimed to want the PS4 or XBOX One versions. In fact, I have never heard any real next generation console (or PC) owners I know say that (that they prefer the PS4 or XBOX One version of the game). It may just be heavy amounts of copium I am reading. Essentially, it sounds like this: "I don't own a next generation console, and can't get one for MSRP, or a PC so I am going to say I don't want one and that the lower version of this particular game is better."

As far as the complaining: Complaining in general is par for the course when it comes to Battlefield. I believe I have stated how they complain about every release before and it may have been you that tried to debate me on it.

nope, wasn't me trying to debate people complaining.  if there is a forum people will complain no matter what.  as for the 64/128 thing and how no one wants 64 player on next gen/pc, i'll just leave this here.  it was one of many such threads:  https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/64-Player-maps-please-DICE/m-p/11046597/highlight/true#M55092

  • I can point you to many more trashing the Battlefield 2042  game in general. You posting a thread of complaints only proves that they complain about every Battlefield that comes out as I stated beforehand.

The internet is full of people that complain more than they actually play. Go to Reddit and they are going to town there. If I went by threads and internet complaints, or god forbid, "reviews" I would not have even touched the game.

The PS5/PC/SERIES X are superior to the last generation consoles. They are faster, the graphics are better, and more. I'm not certain what you're trying to prove by showing disgruntled complainers. I already told you it runs fine for me and the people I know. Heck, we are already in the minority by even playing the game. Most people just jump onboard with the complainers and haven't even tried it yet. It is what it is.

Go ahead and dig up more complaints if you want there are tons of them. They complain about the game in general.

@Hezek1yah Just because the game runs fine for you doesn't mean it does for everyone. Folks in the BF Discord literally earlier today were posting video of XSX gameplay that was beyond choppy to the point of being unplayable.

It's great that you and your friends are anecdotally not experiencing these problems, that doesn't mean they don't exist.

@Hezek1yah i'm not arguing that people complain about the game lol. they do. they always have and they always will. no * new consoles are more powerful than older ones...not sure why you even brought that up.

the link i put up was in response to you saying no one wants 64 player maps on next gen/pc. because you said " I can't co-sign that or even agree that actual next gen owners have claimed to want the PS4 or XBOX One versions". (and you edited that line to remove the original reference that you had to people wanting 64 player maps and changed it to current gen versions)

the 64 player maps *that i mentioned in my post* were pretty popular when they were put in the game for next gen and pc and a lot of people enjoyed it (there were lots of threads of people saying they liked it).  i specifically talked about 64 player maps and how i enjoy that more than the 128 player maps

you keep editing your arguments and changing them so i guess i'll have to screen shot them before i respond so i can put the ss in my response

I guess it sucks to be the person that supposedly posted it then? Like I said to the person you're aggressively backing up (odd) they have been complaining about the game in general since it came out. I ignored that and I'll ignore this.

What does that online complaint have to do with the next generation consoles and PC being superior hardware or with my experience of the game? Runs like butter for me. Maybe his internet sucks or something. My entire team plays on next generation/PC and it runs smoothly for the most part.

@Hezek1yah "I'm not experiencing any problems so clearly nobody else could be, that's just impossible!" ain't exactly the compelling argument you seem to think it is, chief. Game runs great for my on my PC (which it should given my specs), but that doesn't mean that I think my experience with performance is universal.

i never said i didn't have a computer capable of running the game.  you assumed that.  i in fact have 2 computers capable of running this game but i don't like gaming on PC.  i'm in my mid 40s and have a very well paying job as does my wife.  if i wanted a series X or PS5 i could have one.  i refuse to pay marked up prices for ANYTHING including game consoles.  it is a principle thing not a ability to afford thing.

  • You take the internet way too seriously (screenshotting internet comments?) and seem to have some kind of odd fixation on me. I've noticed you following me around attempting to start arguments over silly things. I think I'll just ignore your comments as they aren't very productive.

If you like the lower version stick with it, Of course with an Xbox One/PS4 you don't really have a choice in the matter. Since it can't run above a lower version with 64 players. Amazing machines but they are limited to that player number for now.

    Good luck.

What law says I need to argue with you at all?

I'll tell you like I told him. The internet has been complaining about this game for months. I can't be bothered with all of that non-stop complaining. I'm tired of hearing it. If you don't like the game don't play it is what I say. I enjoy the game, with the full amount of players (128), and so do those I play with. It runs great for all of us. I've also seen tons of streams running this game with next to no real issues. So you can be upset that I'm not taking all of these complaints you're digging up off of the internet seriously that's your right.

Its my right to ignore all of the complaining and keep enjoying the game. It is what it is my boy.

Btw, was on next gen/PC streamer's Battlefield 2042 stream on social media today and the streamers almost died of laughter when I told them someone insinuated the last generation's (xbox one/ps4) version 64 player version runs better than the PS5/SERIES X/PC version. They found the notion as ridiculous as I did. They thought I was crazy for even listening to something like that. That's the difference between people who complain about the game online and people who aren't complaining but are actually playing the game with little to no issues.

These aren't forum and reddit complaints from people who sit on forums all day. These guys/girls are hardcore battlefield streamers with tons of hours on the game with high end pcs and next gen consoles. The game runs as smooth as butter.

This is a conversation to be filed under "didn't happen."

Uhhh...game actually does run better on my PS4 Pro than my XSX.

XSX has terrible stuttering on some maps, esp Hourglass.

Now that the turret crutch is almost fixed (still in game so it isnt completely fixed) the ranger needs to get smacked hard with the nerf bat
